Discover my new outfit from Dior ready to wear Spring Summer 2016 collection, with Diorever bag and DiorSplit glasses in a relaxing midsummer story!
Hey gorgeous! Midsummer afternoons are scorching, but the evenings are breezy! Aren’t they perfect for solo-walks and romantic dates alike? As for me, I love to cut my work day short once a month, and go on long drives, get away from the busy city-life and enjoy the sunset. And perhaps even the stars!
This photo-shoot is from exactly one such short-trip, two hours south of my city! Indulgent and relaxing, I wanted to spend the sunset listening to the wind and imagining shapes in the clouds! I wanted the outfit to be something trendy yet comfy, cool for the summer and yet soft and luxuriously pampering at the same time! Something to unwind in. White is my favorite to wear in the summer, so I chose a cotton crop top and shorts look from the Dior ready to wear Spring Summer 2016 collection. The bubble-shaped hemline is reminiscent of the summer morning clouds!
I paired the outfit with a blue Diorever bag, which is summer 2016’s it-bag – and for good reason! It’s soft leathered, structured and medium sized, and I think it’s very, very versatile! Large enough to hold paraphernalia and small enough to not overshadow my frame or outfit. Plus the structured shape and color makes it great for anything from boardroom to a casual movie-going. Also, the handle and the detachable strap allows it to be handheld or worn like a cross-body bag. I also wore nude strappy heels and a pair of light-blue Dior Split glasses.
I kept the makeup easy for a fresh, clean look. I mixed blue and black eyeshadow for a semi-smokey navy eye, and paired it with liquid eyeliner and pale Dior Addict lip gloss over pink lip liner.
Isn’t the sunset gorgeous if you stop to look at it? Peaches merge into purples and the pinks reflect in the water (#nofilter) – so exquisite, so relaxing!
