NYFW makeup focuses on the eyes while keeping the rest understated. Here are all the best beauty looks from the New York Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2018 RTW collections!
Hey there gorgeous! 😀 If you’re a makeup lover like me and eager to know what the 2018 beauty trends are, look no further! We’ve put together all the best makeup looks from the SS18 RTW runways from New York Fashion Week right here!
Lets take a look at the best NYFW makeup and hairstyles:
Best NYFW Makeup Looks from Spring 2018 Collections
1. Marc Jacobs
To me, the makeup was more striking than the clothes in this show. It’s so bold and daring, I’m in love! It’s also giving me serious Maleficent vibes. This Arabic/African-inspired look emphasizes on the eye. Combined with the soft nude lip, it makes for a perfectly balanced runway makeup look. I would have loved to see what hairdo the designer would have come up with but it was all swept back into a turban. But even that’s quite pretty so I can’t really complain.
2. Tory Burch
Copper lids and copper shadow on the water line is what we saw at Tory Burch SS18. Also, natural and untouched-looking eyebrows are in now! This makeup look also consisted of a pale, nude glossy lip. In terms of the runway hairstyles, a youthful bob really tied in the whole look. This fashion week makeup look is so gorgeous, I wanna give it a try!
3. Tom Ford
Move over sharp, angular-cat eyes! Thick and blunt winged eyeliners are what we’re seeing at Tom Ford along with cropped hair with bangs. The lips again, were kept muted and nude and the cheeks had a soft blush and a light contour. This runway makeup is very light and wearable for summer.
4. Anna Sui
Clearly, NYFW makeup is all about the eyes! Almost every makeup artist has opted to focus on the eyes. Here, the fashion show makeup was kept very dewy and sparkly. Anna Sui described it as ‘flower-child makeup’. Shimmery eyes with a glittery vertical line down the center of the eyelid and highlighted inner corners were paired with a matte nude lip. Long and loose beachy waves completed this runway makeup look.
5. Carolina Herrera
Of course, this look too is one that concentrates on the eyes. Carolina Herrera went for a boldly-lined eye, almost like the Marc Jacobs one but a subtler version. This NYFW makeup look also consisted of a light rosy blush and nude peach lips. Center-parted super straight hair, tucked neatly behind the ears made it look chic. But sadly, the same can’t be said for the eye makeup as it is very unflattering and makes the eye look too thin.
6. Oscar De La Renta
This show featured minimal but sexy makeup. A black and mint blue double lined cat-eye is teamed with a subtle glossy lip and the hairstyle is a stylish side-parted straight bob. I just can’t get over how beautiful the color of that liner is!
So, those were the hair and makeup looks we can expect to be in trend during the upcoming season. What do you think of them? And would you try out any? Let us know by tweeting @shilpa1ahuja !
