Discover my fun summer outfit with a turquoise skirt and a white top, perfect for a stylish day out in the city or on vacation and get loads of inspiration!
Hey gorgeous! Vacations are of course filled with lazy-hazy days when we don’t even wanna get out of the bed, or if we do, we wanna have two-hour-long brunches! But vacations can also be full of parties or weddings when we wanna get dressed and look stylish! That’s the kind of look I wanted to create with this outfit.
I know it’s been a while since I last posted a look, but I’m finally back with this much-awaited outfit. I already posted a behind-the-scenes video of this photo-shoot. So if you haven’t already checked it out, head over to “Behind-the-Scenes with Shilpa Ahuja as She Talks Fashion & Style“. It’s a fun music video, plus I talk about ShilpaAhuja.com’s blog philosophy and how we work!
This outfit is an easy summery one, which is why I wanted to experiment with colorful bright makeup. For this look, I paired a flowy white top with a turquoise crochet mini-skirt. I added black tie-up wedges. The top has a pearl necklace detailing, which is great because it really eliminates the need for accessorizing. And who doesn’t love to skip jewelry every once in a while!
We shot this photo-shoot near Pondicherry in south of India. The salt lake provides lots of great photography inspiration and of course, is very breezy! Super fun! Just the kinda place one goes to for vacations when wearing an outfit like this! Only, if I had to wear this the whole day, I may skip heels and go for a pair of sandals or matching flip-flops!
How I Created My Fun Summer Outfit
This skirt is one of my old favorites and I often pair it with white sheer or sleeveless print tops. It’s super casual but can also be dressed up. And a white top is of course a must-have for me. I have many. They not only work for any kinda occasion but also make the perfect canvas for trying out unique accessories or makeup looks.
I’ve talked about the bright editorial style makeup look for this fun summer outfit in my other article. So check it out here: Bright Blue Eyeshadow & Red Lip Party Makeup Look
So this is really a morning to evening fun summer outfit. It will work perfectly without the heavy-duty makeup for a vacation day-out or even a stylish day out within the city. And if you wanna take it up a notch for a party or a glitzy event, just add some drama with makeup and perhaps some statement earrings! I could wear this to a garden party or an early evening cocktail.
