From chokers to broad bracelets, the jewelry trends of Spring Summer 2018 are incredible. Let’s take a look at the 11 new jewelry trends.
So, lets a take a look at the hottest jewelry trends of the SS18 collections.
11 New Jewelry Trends
1. Chunky Chain Jewelry
Chunky is back! The statement jewelry trend has a new spin this season. Seen in the collections of Versace, Moschino, Gucci, etc., this is one of the top jewelry trends for 2018. From pendant necklaces to chokers to bracelets, the broad chain link was seen in all sorts of jewelry pieces on the runways. The ones by Givenchy and Balmain, give the perf antique look. Try chunky chains layered with pearl collar necklace and leather choker for a bold, runway-inspired look.
2. Mismatched Earrings
This trend of jewelry is not fading away soon, girls! We have seen mismatched earrings as one of the top jewelry trends in Fall 2017 collections and here it is again! This is surely gonna become popular jewelry for tweens, giving you plenty of options to choose from. Also, if you lose any pair of an earring, just match with another one and you are good to go! Pair a long one with a stud or smaller one of the same color to rock this summer jewelry trend. Also, if you’re bold enough, then try both huge mismatched ones.
3. Chokers
I always wished the trend of chokers never go out of fashion and thankfully the designers are lending me an ear! 🙂 For quite a few seasons now, chokers have been super popular even as the top celebrity jewelry trends. They look super-duper amazing both for street style and party looks. In the Spring 2018 collections, popular jewelry designers showcased transparent chokers, rhinestone, leather, logo and 3D chokers. Also, both broad and sleek chokers are ruling the runways.
4. Cuffs and Double Bracelets
If you love bracelets, this is the best jewelry for you to try. Broad cuffs are the trendy bracelet trend for 2018. We’re also loving some popular handmade bracelets. Apart from the broad transparent and rhinestone bracelets, we saw double bracelets too – broad ones paired with sleek ones. I loved the red cuff below. It’s gonna be a trending bracelet design for sure!
5. Large Earrings
Trying to find out what earrings are in style? Then, you are in the right place. Large oversized earrings gained popularity on the runways this season. In earlier seasons, we saw oversized studs but this season we’re seeing really long shoulder-length earrings. The fringe earrings by Elie Saab are in fact falling on the shoulder. The larger the trendier – that’s the earring trend of the season.
6. Logo Jewelry
Logo jewelry is doubtlessly one of the most popular jewelry trends. With both large and small logos, designers are not shying away from the consumerism. Be it a necklace or choker or bracelet, make sure it is logo mandatory to follow this trend.
7. Long Chain Necklaces
The 90s jewelry trend of long chain necklaces is back! Long necklaces with quirky pendants were quite a thing in the collections of Prada and Gucci. Also, long necklaces paired with chokers and collar necklaces are gonna be a huge trend in 2018. This new style necklace works well with formal and casuals, too! The long chain body necklace by Zuhair Murad is perfect for cocktail parties.
8. Layered Necklace
This is one of the most trendy fashion jewelry styles. Layering in jewelry is super cool these days. It also allows us to experiment with different pieces of necklaces. Choker with a beaded necklace, long chain with collar necklace or just multilayered pearl necklace are a few ways to rock this trend.
9. Novelty Jewelry
Novelty shaped accessories have been popular on the runways for a few seasons now! Novelty bags, sunglasses and jewelry are a few accessories to get started with the novelty trend. The type of novelty jewelry we saw in SS18 collections were starfish-shaped earrings in Versace, car earrings and matching set in D & G, leaf-shaped in Zuhair Murad and tusk shaped in Prada.
10. Statement Necklaces
Make heads turn with statement jewelry in 2018! Broad tusk shaped necklaces, multilayered leather necklaces, novelty shaped and large oversized rhinestone pendant set are a few styles of statement necklaces we saw in Spring 2018 collections. If you’re in the mood to invest in a luxury necklace, go for a bold design.
11.Transparent Jewelry
From shoes to bags to jewelry, the see-through accessories made waves on the runways this season. We saw the transparent beaded necklace and drop earrings in Chanel and oversized transparent earrings in Emporio Armani. Although we didn’t spot this trend in too many collections, but our forecast says it’ll get more popular in the coming seasons!
