The focus was on structure and volume this season at the house of Zuhair Murad. A powdery color palette includes snow white, pale red, dusty purple, baby blue, grey and sky blue. The silhouettes are all eveningwear – and structured – strapless evening gowns, tulip skirts, cocktail dresses, mini-dresses and peplum tops with pants. As one would expect from Zuhair Murad, floral embroidery and appliqué take up much of the surfaces. The shapes give femininity – long trains, sweetheart necklines, layered skirts, cinched waists, high slits, floaty robes.

The fabrics are as rich as the colors subtle – silk, lace and tulle are in abundance, sometimes with brocade, organza, silk gazar, crêpe de soie, guipure, silk chiffon.

Voluminous skirts are inspired by birdcages – architectural and rounded. The peplums are similar.




The models wear hair accessories that remind you of the previous few fashion shows from the house. This time it’s silvery leaves.
