Latest Trouser Trends for Fall 2017
1. Loose Leather Pants
Leather pants are very much in this fall season. But unlike last season’s skinny leather biker pants, in Winter 2017, they are loose and relaxed fit. We saw high waist, cropped, straight cut and zipper detail loose leather pants in the designer collections of Michael Kors, Monse, Proenza Schouler and Versace. They’re even gonna continue to be a trend next year as we’ve started seeing them in Spring Summer 2018 collections too!
2. High Waist Pants
The 70s high waist pants are super trendy! From formal to casual wear, they are all stylish. We saw them paired with button up shirts and loose high waist cotton pants were paired with cut out crop top. Loved this retro style in latest trouser trends.
3. Metallic Pants
Metallic pants were super trendy in the Spring Summer 2017 collections. But they are making waves in the runway collections this fall season, too. From cropped pants to loose ones, from formal suits to casual ones, metallic pants were trendy as ever. We saw shades like copper gold, teal green, metallic blue, red and silver, paired with leather jackets, long coats, tee shirts and sweaters. So, this season you know what to wear to parties!
4. Loose Trousers
The 90s style loose trousers are back. I wish they stay trendy in the hot summers, too! So, loose trouser fashion included straight cut loose trousers by Dior, Marc Jacobs and Max Mara. We even saw baggy trousers by Chloé, Victoria Beckham and many more.
5. Cropped Pants
Forget extra long pants! Cropped pants for fall look super chic and have become the must-have latest trouser fashion! We saw satin, high waist, floral, cotton and leather cropped pants in the collections of Ralph Lauren, Gucci, Topshop Unique, Versace, Versus Versace and many more. I loved the satin cropped pant paired with a sheer top and patterned jacket by Ralph Lauren.
6. Velvet Matching Sets
We saw all sorts of matching sets in the Fall Winter 2017-18 collections. But the velvet matching set trend is really super hot this season. Velvet is as trendy as it was last fall/ winter! So party wear’s gonna be more stylish than ever this fall. We saw straight cut velvet trousers , loose cropped trousers, high waist trousers with oversized pockets and printed trouser. They were paired with full sleeved, long, slouchy tops and dresses.
7. Striped Trousers
Striped pants are trending this season. We saw pajama stripes last season and in this Fall 2017, we’re seeing a mix of oversized, thin and pin stripes in the latest trouser fashion. Try formal wear like Gucci and for casual wear, try the look by Dolce & Gabbana – retro style!
8. Culottes
Culottes are perfect both for casual wear and office. We saw white, velvet and floral culottes. And they were paired with a tweed jacket, a sheer sweater (how cool is that?!) and a velvet jacket.
9. Floral Prints
Florals are bold in this fall season. And we saw different types of floral prints in the latest trouser trends. Like cropped pants with rose prints and flared pants with oversized floral prints by Dolce & Gabbana. We spotted high waist palazzos by Gucci and multicolor floral print culottes by Monique Lhuillier.
10. Checkered Pants
Checkered patterns were seen in many looks in the runway collections. From Dior to Fendi to Marc Jacobs, many top designers made a case for checks in the latest trouser fashion. We saw oversized to thin checkered patterns. I loved this high waist checkered pattern trousers by Fendi.
