Discover this latest trend in women’s designer sunglasses – the glam and sexy 70s retro sunglasses. Check out the top 3 pairs by Cavalli, Prada and Chloé.

Hey gorgeous! Hope you’re enjoying this beautiful summer with all those fun outdoor activities! And while you’re out on the town, enjoying those barbecue parties, pool parties, sand castle building at the beach, outdoor brunches and what not, I’m sure you’re also at the top of your summer style game!

Sunglasses are the most essential part of summer style. And in 2016, the 70s retro sunglasses are huge. We’re seeing this trend in major fashion houses’ sunglasses collections, both for men and women. And three models in particular are JUST IN! These pairs of 70s retro sunglasses are not just fresh in the market right now but are also super glam and trendy!

All these new sunglasses have their inspiration set in the decade of punk rock. With oversized frames, gradient tinting and colors like grey, sepia and rose, these pairs look so sexily vintage! So let’s check out our three favorite pairs for this last month of summer (we’ll wear them all through Fall)!!

70s is back, baby! It’s the time to disco!

Retro Sunglasses by Roberto Cavalli

I’m loving this new model of summer sunglasses by Roberto Cavalli. The shape is really iconic, an oversized retro square with a thin metal frame embellished with the snake motif on the sides of lenses. The temples have this curvy-thing with the design house’s logo! The model is available in shiny rose gold (featured above), blue and purple. Can’t wait to try them on!

Mod Sunglasses by Prada

Super trendy! The latest Mod sunglasses by Prada were released just this week, and are not even in the online store yet! This pair is inspired by “strong yet confident femininity” and the ad campaign says “Whatever they think I am, that is what I am not”. Unnecessarily rebellious. Whatever! The point is, that this oversized square model has a thin frame on the top and bottom, and a broad frame at the outer edges, which gives its 70s look a modern twist.

Here’s a still from the Prada Mod ad campaign:

The round frame, oversized silhouette and ombre shading, all give the Jackson model by Chloé a distinct vintage look. This model’s metal temples are inspired by a tennis racket! The gradient of the sunglasses becomes lighter at the bottom, and the different color combinations in this pair of retro sunglasses are gold-peach, Havana blonde gold, grey gold.

So are you liking this trend in women’s sunglasses? If so, which out of these three pairs of sunnies do you like the most? And which other 70s sunglasses are you currently wearing or loving? Lemme know! Comment below!Muaah XOXO 🙂
