Trendy hair Accessories for Spring Summer 2018
1. Fedora Hat
It’s spring-summer collection and of course, we expect hats to be one of the most happening trends on the runways. Fedora hats are one of the easiest hair accessories to pair with dresses for a classy look. This season we spotted plain black fedoras with stampede strings, feathers and satin on the runways of Alberta Ferretti, Dolce & Gabbana, Gucci and Michael Kors.
Turbans are super in right now. We saw designers come up with different types of turbans, which were spotted on the runways of Marc Jacobs and Gucci. Forget those braids and buns! instead, go fancy with the latest printed, satin and chic plain turbans. Style the turban in your own way and add some embellished pins for a classier look.
3. Feather Hair Accessories
My favorite hair accessory trend for SS18 is this one! Gucci came up with feathers on the fedora and Alexander Wang with the words ‘Wangover’ on a feather hairband. Feather hair accessories are the latest rage, and these are so gorgeous that they stand out from the other usual accessories. I would love to try the Alexander Wang one for parties.
4. Veils – Bridal Hair Accessories
Veils are back in fashion, and not just for brides! Designers added different sorts of veils this season like tiny veil attached to the beret, embellished veil with the beanie and fringed ruffled veils on the runways of Dolce & Gabbana, Giorgio Armani and Naeem Khan.
5. Plain Hair Ties
Are embellished hair ties out? Not really. But this season, for simple ponytails, plain hair ties are back. It’s time for making a low ponytail as a more stylish way of keeping all your hair off your face. It fits perfectly with the millennials’ busy, fuss-free lives, great for casual outdoors and social hangouts.
This year, it seems like berets are becoming the classic accessory. They also go perfectly with any outfit you want to go for! And if you don’t have one already, then you have to get one asap and match with your dresses. I’m liking the Rahul Mishra one!
7. Decorative Hairpins
Hairpins are a great accessory that work well with any type of hairstyle. Embellished and flower pins were used to tuck the hair and buns on the runways of Simone Rocha and Naeem Khan. Decorative hairpins are often used in accessorizing ponytails or buns for parties.
8. Embellished Hair Accessories
Hair accessories are great multi-taskers and add glam to any hairstyle. We saw embellished headbands, hairpins, crown and bow headband in some of our favorite designer collections like Dolce & Gabbana, Simone Rocha, Moschino and Gucci.
Choose the ones that fit your particular style, because we are seeing so much this season. They’re very functional yet trendy, isn’t it? In fact, they help in keeping the bangs and all the hair neatly tucked in one place. Headbands can be used for any hair length. This season we saw different types of headbands like feathered, embellished and braided ones on the runways of Alexander Wang, Dolce & Gabbana and Gucci.
This season printed hair accessories are making waves! We saw floral printed round cap, embellished and boat-shaped novelty double headband and printed turbans in many designers’ collections. Pair a contrasting or matching hair accessory, which goes with your outfit and style.
Caps are becoming a fashion trend for the chilly weather. Hello 90s hip-hop! This season we spotted our favorite designers come up with options like a small veil attached to the cap, lined and studded caps on the runways.
