Shoes and girls are inseparable. Wondering what’s in this season for shoes?! Well, here are the top 7 trending shoes for you!
Hey gorgeous! Spring is barely here and the designer shops are already filled with latest collections. I’m sure just like me even you wanna check out what’s new this year. And no girl can have enough shoes. Well, after writing about different topics like diet and fitness, I so missed trend articles. I know it’s just been two months. But well, the fashionista inside me was urging to check out the new trends. My mind was filled with questions like, “What shoes are trending now?”, and “What’s new in women’s shoe trends?” and what not!
Trending Shoes: Spring 2018 Shoe Trends
The major accessory in a girl’s closet, shoes are super duper trendy this year. We saw some unique and out-of-the-box creations. Okay! I won’t bore you with all the superlatives. Let’s dive in and check out the latest shoe trends for 2018!
1. Angular Heels
This trend is my personal favorite amongst all the trending shoes for 2018. Although I’m not sure about comfort, the style gets ten on ten! The slanted or angular heels were seen in pumps, sandals and boots. To stand out, wear them to parties, lunch dates or casual outings.
2. Transparent Shoes
Transparent accessories are getting the right attention. From celebs to runways, they are grabbing attention from all! If raincoats, bags and jewelry weren’t enough, transparent shoes are in the limelight amongst latest shoe trends. From pointy heels to booties to sneakers, plexi was seen in every type of shoes. This trend may make all the fashion lovers go ooh but we doubt the comfort. Who wants to wear plastic in the scorching heat?! Well, fashion is not about comfort you see. So, these shoes may just last us through a coffee date, perhaps!
3. Shoes with Socks
Now, this style is a definite must try! Of course, wearing socks was common but this year designers have given a twist. From sock booties to flats worn with socks to cut out socks, they were all drool-worthy. Especially, the sock booties (or skinny booties) are gonna be the talk of the town in 2018.
4. Mesh Shoes
Mesh is so in! We saw mesh style tops and dresses in Spring Summer 2018 collections. And mesh shoes are surely head turners. They remind me of the Victorian era – classy and sophisticated. We saw mesh boots, booties, pointy heels and platforms. Black mesh shoes were the highlight of the SS18 runway collections, and we would love to see them in different colors like fuchsia pink, electric blue and many more in coming seasons!
5. Tie-Up Details
Wanna add extra drama to your shoes. Well, then try shoes with laces. From Dior to Chloé, many big designers made a case for this trend. We saw sneakers, mesh boots, chunky heels with tie ups.
6. Fringes
We’ve seen fringed shoes before but in the Spring 2018 collections, we saw new variations. Embellished, thread, boho-inspired fringed shoes were seen in the collections of Versus Versace, Marc Jacobs, Christopher Kane and many more. From sandals to platform heels to booties, they were all chic. These shoes work well even when you’re wearing something simple and have no mood to put too much thought into your outfit.
7. Peep Toes
Peep toes boots, booties and pointy heels were surely head-turners in the Spring 2018 collections. We saw floral print boots, leather boots, metallic shoes, transparent pointy heels. They are chic and elegant. Perfect to bring charm to your outfit!
