10 Latest Fashion Color Trends for Fall 2015 Winter 2016
Classics: Total Black
If we go by this season’s runway collections, then yes, black is the NEW BLACK! We mentioned the head-to-toe-black trend in our earlier article Pre-Fall 2015 Collections: 5 Must-Have Latest Trends. Almost all designers had total black outfits in their couture/ ready-to-wear Fall/ Winter 2015-2016 collections, such as Valentino, Chanel, Dolce and Gabbana, Armani, Zuhair Murad, Christian Dior, Versace and Givenchy. Check them out below (click to enlarge).
Classics: Classic Red
We saw different hues of red too, like crimson and brick. But most of the designer collections had classic red, such as Chanel, Dolce and Gabbana, Dior, Gucci, Fendi, Valentino, Zuhair Murad.
Classics: Emerald Green
Lead green and emerald were the major colors spotted this season. Designers like Erdem, Giambattista Valli, Versace, Maison Margiela and Dolce and Gabbana showcased complete outfits in emerald green.
Classics: Snow White
Snow white, coupled with eggshell and ivory was big this season. Almost as big as black. And we always love snow white outfits, whether it’s summer or winter! White was majorly seen in designer collections of Chanel, Christian Dior, Zuhair Murad, Dolce and Gabbana and Fendi. Check them out here in the gallery (click to enlarge).
Deep Hues: Deep Sea Blue
Deep sea blue was the hot color this season. Some design houses like Dior and Zuhair Murad used jewel tones like coral and sapphire-like shades, other like Jean Paul Gaultier, Armani and Oscar de la Renta played with deep blue to midnight shades, sort of completing the spectrum of deep sea.
Deep Hues: Burgundy
Burgundy is one of my favorite colors of this Fall Winter. Last season, burgundy hair color was trying to slowly get back in trend and now, we have these lovely gowns and jackets in burgundy that makes us wanna buy one! Design houses like Zuhair Murad, Elie Saab, Oscar de la Renta, Gucci and Dolce and Gabbana made a major case for burgundy in their collections.
Pastels: Sky Blue
Pastels usually show up in the runway collections during Summer Spring season, but this year we are seeing lots of pastels like sky blue, olive green, dusty purple, rose, pale yellow and peach. Shades of winter blue are something lots of designers played with in their color palette, and we are adoring them. From pale powdery snow blue to clear sky, designers make wearing pastels so trendy this season. We saw winter blue in collections of Christian Dior, Dolce and Gabbana, Zuhair Murad, Elie Saab and Atelier Versace. Check them out below (click to enlarge).
Pastels: Peach
Another pastel that we have been seeing a lot of is peach. Designer collections like Dolce and Gabbana, Christian Dior, Elie Saab and Fendi included peach in jackets, coats and dresses.
Metallics: Gold
Lots of metallics cropped up in the collections for this Fall Winter. Both silver and gold were seen, but gold was certainly predominant, at least in the apparel. We saw gold dresses in the collections of Elie Saab, Valentino, Oscar de la Renta and Schiaparelli, among others.
Shades: 50 Shades of Grey
Of course, come Fall Winter and we begin to see the cloudy greys in our wardrobes. And on the runways! Design houses like Christian Dior, , Elie Saab, Chanel, Saint Laurent, Versace and Schiaparelli had lots of grey in their collections.
So, which is your favorite color of the season? Lemme know below!
