Hey gorgeous! You’ve already started shopping for Fall 2016 and I haven’t written about the latest designer shoes yet, that’s bad!! But I’m writing this now – right now! So without further delay, let’s take a look at the 10 trendiest styles of designer shoes we wanna be wearing this season!

In the runway collections of Fall 2016/Winter 2017, we saw sooo many different shoe styles, that it was hard to pick out the top trends. Nevertheless, the following 10 women’s shoes kept cropping up in all our favorite designers’ collections, and we’ll be seeing them all over the shopping sites and boutiques in the winter. Let’s take a look!

Latest Fall/ Winter 2016-17 Trends in Designer Shoes

Bright Shoes

We saw bright-colored shoes and boots in so many runway collections that I listed them as the top #1 in fashion trends for Fall 2016. We saw these in collections of Versace, Schiaparelli, Max Mara and Chanel. From bright pastels to spicy orange to peppy pink, try your favorite color with a matching or black outfit this season!

Black Pumps

As plain as they come, classy black pumps are one of the top fashion favorites this year (every year, in fact!). Try the pointy ones (but not extreme) and patent leather, too, this fall, and even try low-heels and ankle-strap pumps.

Lace Up

Laces and tie-up styles are a part of so many different trending shoe styles this season. Try tie-up flats like Dior, or lacy ankle-length booties like Ralph & Russo, try high lace-up boots like Marc Jacobs or menswear-inspired ones like Max Mara.

Metallic

Wow, I’m totally loving these latest fashion shoes. From pale gold knee-high boots by Chanel to second-skin booties by Cavalli, from silver metallic shoes by Ralph & Russo to embellished strappy ballet flats by Dolce & Gabbana, I want ’em all!! ;).

(Pointy-Toe) Booties

Both skinny ankle-length booties and above-the-ankle booties are hot this Fall 2016. Try the cut-out color-blocking booties by Dior, or streamlined designer shoes by Versace and or even lace-up ones like Just Cavalli.

Knee High Boots

Over-the-knee is sure trending this season, but what’s in vogue even more are knee-high boots. We are seeing laced-up, suede, patent leather, black, colored, metallic – all sorts of knee-high designer boots  for fall.

Broad Ankle Strap

Yup, broad ankle straps are back from last year, and this season, they even have buckles, embellishments and embroidery on them! In fact, even try contrasting strap colors, like those seen in Versace FW16 collection!

Matchy

We’ve always loved matching our shoes to our outfits. But this year, the runway collections have taken this idea to the next level. We’re seeing matching fabrics, textures, embellishments and exact same color palettes. It’s like what Carrie Bradshaw said in Sex and the City, “It’s an outfit!”

Novelty Shapes

The latest fashion shoes for Fall 2016 have taken up one of our favorite trends – novelty embellishments. These trendy shoes have unique shaped embellishments like leaves, ship anchor-shaped embellishments and even a chandelier-shaped heel.

Nudes

Nude shoes have always been a favorite, especially since Kate Middleton and Amal Clooney have made a big case for them. This year, everything from nude booties to pumps to over-the-knee boots to clear slip-ons are sexy!
