Hey gorgeous! It’s the mid of summer and vacation and beaches are on my mind! They say the summer bodies are made in the winters. But whether you’ve made your body beach-ready or not, there’s a perfect swimsuit out there just for you. This year, there are so many hot swimsuit trends! From retro to lattice to sheer, some are elegant, some are sexy, some are everyday! So let’s take a look at all the latest swimwear trends for 2016, and find out which one’s the right one for you!!
Top 11 Swimsuit Trends for Summer 2016
Swimsuit Trend #1: High Neck
The high-neck swimsuit trend is the hottest right now! From Victoria’s Secret to Michael Kors, we are seeing this trend everywhere, so you won’t have a problem finding a piece (or two) you love. If shoulders and arms are your true assets, show them off with high-neck swimsuits. When the top of the torso is covered, attention is diverted to shoulders and arms.
Swimsuit Trend #2: Crochet or Macramé
Crochet swimsuits give a cute, boho feel and they’re so trendy in 2016. You can have a crochet top and pair it with a solid bikini bottom, or you can choose a crochet one-piece. Or you could choose something like Forever 21’s crochet back swimsuit, or select one with macramé panels. I’m loving these Robin Piccone macramé swimsuits!
Swimsuit Trend #3: Plunging V-Neck
If your cleavage and abs are your best part, wear a plunging v-neck one-piece swimsuit because they look super hot, and are trending right now! I love the color-block one-piece by Victoria’s Secret that also has cut-outs and a crochet panel – all trends in one!
Swimsuit Trend #4: Printed
Printed swimsuits are back in fashion! From floral to text to abstract, you can find all prints in the stores. But what are we loving? Cool vacation-inspired prints reminding us of the Carribean or tropics – leaves, ferns, mohitos and palms!
Swimsuit Trend #5: Lattice & Cage
Lattice swimsuits were trendy last year too, and it seems they’re going equally strong in 2016, because we saw a hot, hot lattice swimsuit on Gigi Hadid in the Tommy Hilfiger SS16 RTW fashion show! Check out our favorites in this swimwear style category!
Swimsuit Trend #6: Cut-Out
One more trend in swimsuits that’s still strong this year is cut-outs! From keyholes to side-cut-outs, they’re all trendy. Our favorites are the bold ones with large side cut-outs!
Swimsuit Trend #7: Bandage & Strappy
Bandage and strappy trend is seen in the best bikinis of this season! Herve Leger may have started it, but now you see this trend in all major brands!
Swimsuit Trend #8: Sheer
If you’re afraid of the weird tan-lines bandage and lattice swimsuits will give you, but yet wanna look hot n’ sexy, try sheer panel swimsuits!
Swimsuit Trend #9: Retro
Retro swimwear is very in for summer 2016! Try high-waist bikini bottoms and pair them with Marilyn Monroe-inspired halter tops or 70s push-up tops. Or try the knotted one-piece swimsuits in retro prints like polka-dots, floral or geometric!
Swimsuit Trend #10: Sporty
I’m personally loving sporty swimsuits this year! My favorite one is the color-block sporty two-piece by Victoria’s Secret in white and apple green!
Swimsuit Trend #11: Tassle & Tie-Up
Lattice and bangage too much for you? Try tassles or tie-ups.
So those were our top picks for the latest bikinis and designer swimwear! Which swimsuits 2016 trend is your favorite? Lemme know! Comment below! 🙂
