And we know you wanna find out, just in time for shopping the latest collections! So we’ve listed out the top shoe trends of spring because a trendsetter can’t be seen without the season’s latest shoes, right? 😀
11 Latest Trends for Spring Shoes: SS16
Shoe Trend #1: Embellished Heels
Intricate work, metallic floral, leaf embellishments or rhinestones make the spring shoes a delectable accessory. We saw lots of embelishments on pumps but Gucci even had embellished chunky heels! Embellished shoes are trendy even for flats, although embellished heels are the real MUST-HAVE shoes for Spring Summer 2016!

Shoe Trend #2: Men’s Inspired
Definitely the most comfy lot of all (well, except the flat sandals!). The men’s inspired shoes we saw on Spring Summer 2016 runways include both lace and laceless shoes, the buckle type (monks) and loafers.

Shoe Trend #4: Platform Wedges
Platform wedges used to be the unfashionable kinds not many years ago, but designers like Chanel and Louis Vuitton have included them in their SS16 collections, to be worn with both evening-wear and day-wear outfits. They be classy as well as great for walking. The Chanel cork platform wedges with the wood-inspiration are a vision!!

Shoe Trend #5: Pointy Toe Pumps
Pointy toe pumps are not particularly in my comfy tab but they look very gorgeous and Blair Waldorf once said, “Fashion knows not of comfort!” :P. The Marc Jacobs pumps are totally OTT, whereas Versace ones are very go-to-shoes. But I like the Dior pointy-toe pumps with the back knots, which’ll be the It-shoes of the season!

Shoe Trend #6: Ribbon Strap
As little girls we have all fancied the ribbon bow once, and this Spring, these designers brought the pretty bows on the ankles. Again, I really love the Christian Dior shoes with the bold pointy-toe and the long ribbon-strap.

Shoe Trend #7: Strappy Gladiator
Continuing their trend since last spring, strappy gladiators have been the in thing for a while now. But in Spring Summer 2016, it’s more about the gladiator inspiration, translated into modern-looking strappy shoes. There is the thin strapping, thick strapping, leather strapping and criss-cross strapping.

Shoe Trend #9: Tie-Up
The tie-up trend is a mix of strappy gladiator, ribbon straps and thin ankle straps – a clear example of when you cannot invent, just innovate!! 😛 We saw the tie-up shoe trend in the collections of Versace, Oscar de la Renta, Zuhair Murad and more.

Shoe Trend #10: T-Strap
Just one straight streak of a leather strap on your feet and look how much it matters. We saw this trend in the collections of so many designers – Gucci, Marc Jacobs, Oscar de la Renta, to name a few. T-strap shoes are like minimal posters, very little detailing but big enough to make a statement. Plus: there’s also the I-Strap here:

Shoe Trend #11: Very Flat
Yes, we all like to look tall and slender in our five-inch long heels and we simply love the ‘click-clack’ noise it makes, but it’s great that this Spring-Summer, lots of designers are making the very flat shoes trendy, too. As if these can ever be out of style! 😉 We saw the totally thin-flat ones, and we saw the platform-flat ones, too.
