From striking metallics to vibrant summery hues, check out what the trendiest and hottest spring fashion colors for 2018 are!
Hey beautiful! As much as we all love the fall season, let’s admit, it’s not as colorful and joyful as spring. Black and white are always in irrespective of what season it is. But the beauty of spring and summer lies in all the vibrant colors. And what better way to embrace it than filling our closets with the latest spring color trends? So check out this list of the 11 hottest spring fashion colors I came up with after going through all the Spring/Summer 2018 RTW runway collections:
Spring Fashion Colors for 2018
1. Metallic Midnight Blue
2. Pinky Nude
Pastel pinks and nudes are an all-time favorite and loved by all. Combine the two and what do you get? – pinky nude! It’s such a soft and mellow color, I reckon it would suit pretty much any skin tone. We saw different tones in it like creamy pinky nude to rich peach shades. From work wear to makeup, this color won’t fail to look gorgeous. From Roberto Cavalli to Tod’s, this color was winning on the runways.
3. Pencil Grey
Not all spring fashion colors need to be bright and vivid. This tone of grey, which is traditionally a men’s suit color is now being incorporated into women’s wear as well. Ralph Lauren is most certainly obsessed with this color. Almost the entire collection consisted of this shade. Other designers included Alexander Wang, Tibi, Versus and Zac Posen.
4. Silver
Guess designers love this color trend way too much to just let go of it. It was all over the runways last season and SS18 was no different. Although they were quite prominent last season, this time it’s louder and bolder than ever. There were head-to-toe silver looks on the runways of Naeem Khan and Louis Vuitton. Whereas other designers like Versace and Ralph & Russo went for silver with subtle accents of black or white.
5. Electric Blue
This striking hue is not really a spring color but isn’t fashion all about the unexpected? And summer is as good a time as any to wear a bright shade! It might look tricky to pull off but it’s undoubtedly eye-catching! From day time casuals to nighttime dresses, this color can do wonders to any look. Ralph Lauren and Oscar de la Renta had some stunning electric blue gowns in their collections.
6. Burnt Gold
If you thought there can’t be any more metallics that your closet needs for summer, you thought wrong! This unique color, which is neither gold nor copper but somewhere in between, was another runway fave this season. This spring fashion color was spotted in the RTW collections of Badgley Mischka, Altuzarra and Alberta Ferretti to name a few.
7. Sky Blue
Spring Summer 2018 is the season of the blues. From midnight to electric to sky blue, there’s a shade for everyone! However, this almost pastel-like blue is the most summery out of them all. We saw tones including cloudy sky, powder blue and bright sky. Perfect for day looks and even the work place! Moschino and Dior collections featured this pretty spring color trend.
8. Seafoam
How perfect would this color be for a sunny beach side vacation? This green was a sight for sore eyes on the runway. It’s somehow fresh, soft and vibrant all at the same time! Giorgio Armani and Christian Siriano were amongst the designers that went for seafoam green.
9. Sunflower Yellow
Yellow being on this list of spring fashion colors shouldn’t come as a surprise to anyone. It’s the ultimate summer shade and everyone needs it. Sundresses in this color would be great for the upcoming season! On the runway, Rahul Mishra and Carolina Herrera were major fans of this spring color.
10. Lilac
If pinky nude is not your thing, here’s another pastel for you to try for 2018. The lavender color family has been proven to be hugely popular in the SS18 collections. From Tibi to Victoria Beckham and Valentino, lilac was a prominent color.
11. Tulip Red
One of the all-time popular spring fashion colors has got to be red. It’s an easy color to wear and so bold enough on it’s own, you don’t need any other colors to be paired with it. Monse and Dior had many looks featuring this color.
