But when it comes to the wedding season or any other occasion, the first choice that comes to mind is the six-yard draping wonder, a saree. Sarees always give a chance to look trendy and sexy. It’s one of the most recognizable parts of our culture and has also been the top choice for most women as a must-have in their wardrobe.

We saw sarees in shades of off-white, creamy white, ivory, eggshell and antique white, paired with uniquely designed blouses on the runways of Gaurang Shah, Rahul Mishra, Anamika Khanna and Varun Bahl. Drapes of these colors are a great option for daytime parties and weddings.
2. Candy Red
Red is always a special color and is associated with love. Red has always been in demand for its vibrant and bright look. It’s the first choice for brides-to-be. One who goes for this color can feel absolutely confident and look gorgeous. Some shade or the other is always trendy. Red with subtle gold is very in right now. We saw candy red in different shades in many shows of the fashion weeks. Choose this color for any kind of wedding functions and parties and you’ll surely look good.
3. Nudes & Neutrals
Nudes and neutral hues are very much in fashion for this season, especially cappuccino, pecan, butterscotch and parfait. Nude saree colors can be paired with matching or contrasting color blouses such as white or black. If you want a subtle look, then this color trend is a perfect option with a soft makeup look. It’s a great option to wear to official parties or to your friend’s engagement.

Classic black is a timeless fashion color. Black is also my favorite color and I can wear it any day! Classic black is the most fashionable and flattering color to wear for every body type. We spotted designers come up with black sarees paired with matching colored blouses. And we saw black as a hot color trend on the runways on the runways of Anavila, Rohit Bal and many more. It’s a great option to wear to sangeet parties and any outdoor functions.

If you’re going for a chic and rich look, this color is a great idea. It’s one of my favorite colors too! Too bored of wearing those matching blouses? Then pair your heavenly white saree with any bright colored blouse for a bold look. Wear this to special events and occasions, fashion shows or parties.
6. Shades of Pink
Thinking about what color saree to wear for your friend’s marriage? Then shades of pink color are a great idea. Moreover, pink is for romance, and the chic color makes you look more attractive. We saw coral pink, peach pink, fuschia pink and rosewood pink on the runways of our favorite designers. Pink goes well for evening occasions. It’s also great for a small engagement party or pre-wedding shoot.
7. Carbon Grey
Not a bright color person? Then this color is for you! Grey is one of the most smooth and elegant color. This spring summer we spotted different shades of grey like carbon grey, pebble grey, grey and charcoal grey on the runways of Payal Pratap, Anavila and Abraham Thakor. It’s just like a neutral color and one can accessorize anything with it to give you the elegance you have been looking for in a saree.
8. Vanilla & Cream
This season vanilla and cream are really in vogue amongst the latest pale nude saree color trends. We saw cream color, vanilla rose, light sand beige and creamy beige in the collections of Monisha Jaising, Ruceru and Shyamal & Bhumika.
