Hey gorgeous! The moment I laid eyes on the latest Ralph & Russo Fall/ Winter 2015-2016 collection, I knew I had to write about it! And just in time to inspire you for a sexy, yet sensuous outfit idea for the new year’s eve too! Let’s take a look:
Ralph & Russo AW 15/16 Collection Review
As a natural progression from their previous collections, Ralph & Russo has retained the signature romantic sensuality and grandeur in this collection, but also played with fabrics and silhouettes in just the right amounts to create novelty. The best example is the cascade dress in white (fifth in gallery below) whose layered skirt is signature of the brand, however the crop top adds lots of interest and freshness.
The silhouettes include mini-dresses, floor-length gowns, jumpsuits, midi-dresses, long capes and jackets. The overall theme is monochromatic sophistication – with the color palette primarily made of white, classic red, black, peach and rose, metallics like copper, greyish silver and bronze and some navy. The dresses vary between skin-hugging sheath dresses to flared minis and minis to floor-touching slit gowns and cocktail dresses.
Many dresses use common elements that define the collection – threadwork with tone-on-tone and metallic thread embroidery, crystal and pearl work, micro-bead floral relief. Silk, organza, satin, fur and brocade give a rich look. Velvets are perhaps not my favorites in this collection:
Gowns are my favorite part – particularly the strapless gold poofy gown and the red tone-on-tone floral appliqué gown. Other beauties include the bridal gown, a deep olive silk dress with a slit, a bubble dress, a white asymmetric flared gown and this backless dress with a cape skirt:
