Prada SS18 ready-to-wear collection was all about women empowerment. The backdrop of women cartoons was set in such a way that went with the theme of the looks.

The show started with a blue striped top with a red bow paired with double pocket black shorts. In some looks, the bold colored striped shorts were paired with studded printed tops. These looks gave me vacation vibes and also new outfit ideas to try on vacations. The flat studded sandals paired with shorts are perfect for vacations because we all know how uncomfy heels can get during recreation time! Also, instead of backpacks or handbags, we saw fanny bags in the vacation inspired looks of Prada Spring 2018 collection. How cool is that!

The green and pink sleeveless pleated tops was reminiscent of nanny dressing. However, the designer revamped this outfit look by pairing it with cropped loose pants and striped shirt with rolled up sleeves. We saw the neck-bow style in almost all the looks, which takes me back to the school days. Ever wondered school fashion would be worn by you after a decade? Well thanks to the designers for taking us back to those old golden days.

Long peplum tops that ended just at the knees, two-tone jacket dress (similar to a tee shirt dress), cropped pants paired with long oversized tops and ankle-length skirts were also seen in the collection. What didn’t impress me were the digital printed outfits. They are not a new trend and we all have worn them a couple of years ago! Surely retro fashion always makes a comeback but a style that was trendy two years back can’t be called retro!

Accessories were a sight for the sore eyes. From handbags to fashionable shoes to trendy sunglasses they were unmissable. Handbags included structured, fanny bags, sling, flap and the outdated digital printed bags. Ankle length socks have been replaced by just-below-the-knee length-ones. A variety of shoes like pointed toe shoes, studded sandals and two-tone shoes were seen. Long chain pendant necklaces and drop earrings complemented the jewelry. Two-toned cat eye sunglasses proved to be a perfect finishing for the vacation outfits.
