Hey beautiful! If you’re looking to update your hair color, then go bold this season and try the one of the popular hair colors for 2017. Hair color is perhaps the most noticeable makeover and makes us look different than usual. If you don’t change your hair color often, then try something that will still be trendy after few months.

So, here are the hair color trends for the upcoming season. Get updated and look stylish!

Hair Color Trend #1: Center Highlights

If you don’t want to color the entire hair with your favorite color then just go for the center highlights or palm painting. This a bold, new trend, where only the middle section of the hair is colored differently than rest of the hair. Whether you let your hair down or make a half-up hairstyle it’ll look unique. You can also apply hair gel to keep it intact and show off the latest trend. We saw it in Alexander McQueen’s Spring Summer 2017 Ready-to-Wear collection.

Popular Color Trend #2: Darker Roots

Looking to get a bold yet low-maintenance look?  Then, go for this trend of hair color. If you have naturally dark hair, you can color the lengths, leaving the top inch or two an naturele. If you are a light-haired girl, darken just the roots with your choice of color and leave the rest with the natural color. You can also take two shades of the same color and use the darker shade at the roots and the lighter one for the rest of the hair. I liked the look from Alexander Wang’s Spring Summer 2017 collection.

Popular Hair Colors for 2017 #3: Platinum

Great idea if naturally light-haired! The trend of platinum hair color is popular both on runways and celebrities. If you don’t want the entire color to be platinum then go for the Alexander Wang runway look, where you can color the entire hair, except the roots. Also liking Kylie Jenner’s platinum with darker roots.

#4: Candy Tops

Candy colors are a sweet option for Spring Summer! Candy doesn’t necessarily mean pinks, mint, oranges, etc. We saw a new twist in the candy colors which is a combination of purples, orange and reds. Mix two of your favorite colors mixed and give your hair a fresh spin! Also read: Highlights and Lowlights: What’s the Difference & What’s Right for You

Hair Color Fashion #5: Light Chestnut Brown

Brown is very trendy every season. A little variation to this can help you in getting a new look. We saw light chestnut color on Chanel FW16 couture runway. I loved the way Gigi Hadid has colored her hair with a different and new shade of brown.

Popular Hair Colors for 2017 #6: Medium Copper Brown

If you want to try a warmer shade this winter, then opt for this color. You can even color just your roots with the dark copper brown and the lengths with medium or natural brown. These are also great Balayage Short Hair Ideas.

#7: Auburn

Auburn is a reddish-brown color and the shades range from the medium to dark, the darker is trendier this season. Check out the deep auburn hair color from Moschino Spring Summer 2017 show. Whereas the one from the Salvatore Ferragamo show was a lighter, softer hue.

Best Hair Colors #8: Light Natural Blonde

The spectrum of blonde ranges from the coolest light colors to the darkest bold. Currently, we are loving L’Oréal’s natural blonde shade, which we’ve been seeing all over the runways, like Fendi and Moschino.

#9: Natural Brown

If you are looking to play safe with your hair color, then go for the classic natural brown color. It suits on majority of hair styles and skin tones, too! This is the most low-maintenance option for dark-haired women, because when your hair grow out, it’ll still look good with darker roots.

Hair Color Trends for 2017 #10: Sombre

We have been seeing this trend since last season and is popular in this season, too! Sombre is a subtle transition from dark to light hair color. The color of the hair is dark at the roots and as it moves to the tips, the color is a lighter version. You can also try this trend with two different colors as seen at the Max Mara Spring Summer 2017 Ready-to-Wear show.

Hair Color Trend #11: Balayage or Subtle Highlights

For all those who don’t want to color the entire hair or worried on whether the color would suit you, this is a great trend to dip your feet in the pool! Try your favorite color just at the tips or add some face framing pieces. I love the hair color style from Dolce & Gabbana’s FW16 show.
