Here’s enlisting the best Oscar dresses of 2016. Jennifer Lawrence in lace or Alicia Vikander in silk – see who’re the best dressed celebrities at Oscars 2016!
Special occasion calls for a special appearance. Oscars are the most important time of the year for all celebrities and they start planning their outfits for the evening way before they start scripting their speech! While I watched Oscars yesterday, I couldn’t help but notice these gorgeous Oscar dresses.
Best Oscar Dresses 2016: The Black Oscar Gowns
There is nothing as appealing and as timeless as black. Maybe that is why the Oscar red carpet was graced by too many black gowns. One of my favorites was Jennifer Lawrence‘s black lace Dior gown. (Psst: Check out my earlier article JLaw’s Best red Carpet Dresses Ever).
Julianne Moore wore a black Chanel gown from the latest Chanel Couture Spring Summer 2016 collection.
And I also liked Kate Winslet‘s shiny black Ralph Lauren gown with a long train:
Here are some more in black:
Charlotte Riley‘s gown is my favorite one, very delicate work and the poofy skirt.
Best Dressed Celebrities In Red at Oscars 2016
Red is what completes the Oscar extravaganza be it orang-red or classic red. The V-neck mermaid gown by Dior on Charlize Theron is what caught my eyes.
The White Oscar Dresses
The Indian beauty, Priyanka Chopra, was dressed in strapless white sheer lace mermaid gown accessorized with a box clutch. Simply beautiful.
Alicia Vikander, winner of the best supporting acctress, wore an asymmetric, strapless lemon yellow Louis Vuitton gown with silver sequins. Love the poofy flair but the thin ankle-strap sandal is what I love even more!
These sequin gowns do complete justice to the serenity of the evening. Daisy Ridley’s gown has a small peplum effect on very delicate embroidery and matched perfectly with the silvery-grey pumps.
So those were the best Oscar dresses (according to us!). Which one was your favorite look? Which ones did you think were the best dressed celebrities at Oscars 2016? Do let me know by commenting below 🙂
