New Hairstyles for Women for Spring Summer 2018
1. 90s Grunge Hair
As many of the 90s fashion trends are back this year, we’re also seeing the return of 90s grungy hair. We’re sorta happy about it – it’s easy to maintain and suits all hair types and lengths. It’s one of the best natural hairstyles for summer. But we’re also unhappy because greasy is back and even Chanel is rooting for it!! Anyway, if you wanna give this hairstyle a try, go for the greasy and unevenly wavy effect – the unwashed look. Keep it uncombed to give the careless, out-of-bed style. And don’t forget to have the uneven part.
2. Uneven Bangs
Hairstyles with bangs are still in! This season many hairstylists tried uneven bangs with different lengths. Ranging from mid-forehead to below the temples, these bangs look great with almost all haircuts. You can even try them with new mid length hairstyles like subtle layers. We saw uneven bangs with the bob cut and shoulder length hairstyles on the runways of Alexander Wang, Balmain, Gucci and many more designers.
3. Curly Bob Hairstyles
Curls never go out of trend. But in the Spring Summer 2018 runways, we saw loads of different styles in the curly bob. These are the perfect short curly hairstyles for women for summer. Latest bob hairstyles include both short and long bobs, and don’t hesitate to try loose curls and perms both. I’m in love with the bob hairstyles from the Hermes show.
4. Center Parted Long Hair Tucked Behind Ears
Easy hairstyles for long hair have been this minimal. It may sound simple but can be a good change for your overall look. Center-parted hair is a classic hairstyle which has been in vogue for past few seasons now. This year we saw many designers on the runways come up with a small twist of hair tucking behind the ears along the center parted trend. You can also try this with the bedhead or grunge look. Two trends combined in a single hairstyle – super cool!
5. Pixie Cut
Pixie cuts are the preferred short hairstyles for 2018. The pixie cut is super trendy these days with shorter sides and longer hair at the front. It’s the perfect hairstyle if you need something zero-maintenance. It’s quick and easy to style, unlike long hair that is difficult to manage. And yet it gives an elegant look.
6. Wavy Bed Head
This is my favorite one when it comes to the fashionable hairstyles. I was just waiting for the day to come when wavy bed head is totally acceptable among trends. I just love these wavy hairstyles because they’re quick, easy and we literally don’t have to brush. Perfect for casual summer outings and college.
7. Short Bob Hairstyles
Straight bob cut has been in trend for past few seasons and is still ruling the latest haircut trends. It’s best suited for those who are in a mood to get a complete makeover. That’s why this would even work as one of the best hairstyles for new moms. It would be a great option if you wanna give your hairstyle a tomboy look. You can either keep the hair center parted or side-parted with eyebrow length bangs, which we saw on the runways of Balmain, Hermes and Monse. If you don’t want it too short, you can also try a long bob haircut.
8. Naturally Straight
Natural hairstyles are not going out of fashion anytime soon. This is another of the 90s hairstyle trends that’s back – classy yet easy to maintain. So, try these straight hairstyles for summer. Avoid the sleek, too-straight look and instead, go for imperfect hair with slight waves. And we saw this hair trend in the runway collections of some of our favorite designers like Alice+Olivia, Chloe and Elie Saab.
9. Short Afro
It’s great to see short afro haircut as one of the top runway hairstyles for 2018! You can also add bangs to it and make it look chic. The short curly bob is one of the most popular African American hairstyles, and needless to say, it will be perfect in the summer heat!

Perms and curly hairstyles are back this season. If you’re tired of wavy or straight hair and want to spice up your look, the perm is the way to go. And if you’re planning to add some volume to your hair, then perms are the best idea where you can style up your look in many ways. Top knots, long and loose, half up – all are good!
11. Messy Ponytail or Bun
Messy buns are indeed the perfect summer hairstyles for long hair. It’s not exactly one of the new hairstyles for long hair, but you can adorn your messy bun or ponytail with hairpins, fascinator or flower bands. And wear it for different occasions. This would be also the perfect new hairstyle for school.
12. Long/Layered Hair
Here’s the game changer for long hairstyles, check out these photos of new hairstyles. The layered cut is out, and just one or two layers are in! Flaunt your long hair this season by adding just one prominent layer to it. This is one of the hot new hairstyles for spring on the runways of Chloe, Balmain, Elie Saab. I’m loving the layered shoulder length style by Givenchy.
