Hey gorgeous! I’m sure that at some point of time in our lives, we all have been jealous of someone for their healthy and glowing skin and wished we had it, too! Having a clear and beautiful skin is every girl’s dream. And to achieve a flawless skin, eating right and taking care of your skin is important. It takes work. But with our busy schedules, it’s very hard to maintain a healthy and clear skin.
So, I asked my granny who is an expert at natural homemade remedies for skin. She has healthy and flawless skin even at 65! And her secret is using natural face masks by using these basic ingredients found at home. Of course, I’ve taken her advice many times and try them regularly. So I frequently use the papaya face mask every alternate day, banana and honey face mask whenever I have to go out for any occasion and shopping.
So, I have made a list of 7 easy face packs to apply for fresh and soothing skin. Remember to wash or cleanse your face with rose water before you apply the natural face masks. Let’s take a look!

Natural remedies work differently for everyone, I tried these face packs on my skin, and my skin type is normal. So please remember that everything I wrote here may not suit every skin type. Before you try out these natural home remedies, please consult with your dermatologist, and do a back-of-palm skin patch test before using them on your face. Turmeric may cause yellowness and citrus may cause itching, so use sparingly.
Natural Face Masks for Healthy & Glowing Skin
1. Cool Strawberry Face Masks for Beautiful Skin
Crush or blend 2-3 strawberries with 1 tbsp of milk and make a paste. Apply the paste equally on your face and neck and leave it for 15-20 minutes. Wash it with chilled water especially if it’s in summer. You can use this facemask every alternate day or weekly, as strawberry helps to repair the skin and make your skin glow. A perfect facepack for brides-to-be.
2. Gram Flour (Besan), Yogurt and Turmeric
Take 2 tbsp of gram flour, a pinch of turmeric (optional) and yogurt. Mix them to make a thick consistent paste. Wash and dry your face before applying the paste. Apply evenly and leave it till it dries and then wash it with cold water. Use it every alternate day if you’re using only gram flour and yogurt. If you’re using turmeric in the mixture, use it weekly. This is one of the excellent skin care remedies. Yogurt and turmeric help with many skin problems like acne, pimples etc. and also evens out the skin-tone, removes the dead skin, leaving it fresh and youthful-looking.
3. Papaya and Lemon Face Masks for Soft Glowing Skin
One of my most oftenly used face masks. Take two pieces of papaya (peeled) and smash it to make a paste. Apply evenly on your face and leave it for half an hour and then wash it with cold water. Papaya is just not a fruit but one of the best natural remedies for good health and glowing younger looking skin. It helps in reducing pimples and scars. You can also add 4-5 drops of lemon juice (optional) into the mixture which helps in reducing blackheads naturally and makes your skin glow.
4. Banana & Honey for Instant Glow
Banana and honey help to make your skin soft and smooth. Mash the banana and honey well and make a paste. Apply evenly on your face and neck, wait for half an hour and then wash it with cold water. This pack nourishes and moisturizes the skin. I use this pack for the instant glow whenever I wanna go out for a party or a special occasion.
5.Tomato Facepack for Instant Glow
Tomatoes are loaded with vitamins and do wonders to the skin, too. They’re a great source of vitamin C that helps in hydrating and nourishing the skin. Mash the tomatoes or blend to make a fine paste. And then apply the paste evenly on your face and neck, and leave it on for 15-20 minutes and then wash it with chilled water. Repeat the process every alternate day for a glowing skin.
6. Healthy Carrot Facepack for Tan Removal
Make a paste using 1 carrot by mixing it with water or milk and apply on your face and neck evenly. Let it dry for 15-20 minutes and then wash it with cold water. Carrots work really well for your skin as they have many vitamins and minerals, which give healthy appearance and younger-looking skin.
7. Don’t Throw the Bread Crumbs Away
Dip bread crumbs in milk and leave them for an hour. Then mix well and make a paste out of it. Massage your face with the paste for 5-10 minutes and then wash it off. This leaves your skin soft and glowing. Do this regularly for a healthy-looking skin.
