From the alienesque makeup to Jacqueline Kennedy-inspired skirts suits and pillbox hats, discover the best of Moschino collection for F/W 2018!
1. Alien Skin
Along with human Jackie O’s, some brightly colored aliens walked the ramp, too and it was probably my favorite part of the show! Models at Moschino RTW 2018 rocked colorful body paints from head to toe! They even had colored eyebrows and glittery lips to match! The contrast all this had to the equally brightly colored outfits was spectacular!
2. Pop Art Prints
Colorful illustrations of comic strip images, medicine packaging and cereal boxes were designed by Ben Frost for the Moschino collection at Milan Fashion Week. These bold prints were featured on handbags, dresses, hats and even phone cases!
3. Quirky Eyewear & Hats
The accessories from the Moschino 2018 show were another one of my faves. Oversized square and rectangular glasses were common throughout. Some had polka dots and prints and some were even bejeweled! Personally, I liked the layered sunglasses that almost looked as if two pairs of glasses were worn. Pillbox hats, a Jackie O staple, in fun pop art prints and colors were worn to match outfits.
4. Retro Hairstyles
Jacqueline Kennedy’s famous flipped out bob was what the models donned on the Moschino FW18 runway. The hairstyles were short, had side bangs and tons and tons of volume!
5. Skirt Suits
The classic Jackie O skirts suits were given a modern makeover at the 2018 Moschino collection. Biker jackets, complete with the belts and asymmetrical zippers were paired with fitted and A-line skirts. Some outfits even had cape jackets! These were worn with matching color eyewear, shoes and hats. The biker style coats and belted dresses from the Moschino fall collection also deserve a mention.
6. Nail Art
The Moschino collection was so detailed that even the nails were so retro and quirky! Brightly colored almond nails with half moons in a contrasting color was the nail art of choice. Bright colors like orange, yellow, hot pink and red were paired with each other.
7. Vintage Style Shoes
Models strutted the Moschino runway in tapered heel Mary Jane style shoes. Pointy and thick strapped, they’re the perfect accessory to the elegant skirt suits.
8. 60s Makeup
Rosy cheeks, slightly glossy pale pink lips, heavily mascara coated and lined eyes made the beauty looks at Moschino’s Fall 2018 collection. The makeup couldn’t have been any more perfect. The freshness and subtlety of it complemented the chic Moschino fashion!
9. Unique Bags
The bags from the Moschino 2018 collection deserve their own article. There were all sorts of silhouettes, materials, prints and textures. Circle bags with peace symbols, pop art mini bags, tiny backpacks and structured bags in fuzzy materials and glittery bags were seen throughout the collection. And of course, their iconic biker jacket sling bag in bright colors was also significant in the Moschino show.
10. Glittery Evening Gowns
The Moschino 2018 show was brought to an end with some stunning sparkly evening gowns. With asymmetrical silhouettes, cut-outs here and there and sequinned fabrics and geometric panels, they were show-stopping! Some also had trains and flowy capes. But what I adored most were the pretty colors of the gowns – sea blue, mint green, lilac, blush pink and rose gold!
