It’s still the beginning of the year but we’re already drooling over the men’s fashion from Fall 2018 collections! Here are the top 9 men’s clothing styles for you!
2018 Men’s Clothing Styles
We went through each of the Fall-Winter 2018 RTW collections, and each one has something new and quirky to offer. All you fashion loving guys are gonna drool over the latest fashion trends for men this year. And the ones who want to keep it simple, don’t worry, designers have something for you, too! From groundbreaking style statements to unusual fashion, we’ve rounded off top 9 trends in men’s style trend you totally needd to try in 2018. Let’s check ’em out!
1. Extra Long Shirts
What else can you do with the most wardrobe basic staple – shirt?! Well, this year, try this conspicuous trend, extra long shirts. We know, they look a lot like women’s tunics! The shirts are thigh length and we saw button-up shirts and tee shirts in this style. I loved the way they were paired with sleeveless sweaters, floral and leather pants! Women have always stolen men’s fashion trends (hello, jeans and pants!) But in 2018, this trend is surely going to take the men’s fashion the other way round.
2. Patterned Scarves
Scarves may not be a new trend in menswear. But this year we saw a new style – bright colored scarves in different lengths and patterns paired with formal jackets. So perfect for the fall season. Well, the next time, you’re wearing your formal jacket, don’t forget to pair it with a patterned and colorful scarf.
3. Velvet Suits
Velvet is the fabricdu jour for fall-winter. And many top designers made a case for them from Ralph Lauren to Giorgio Armani. Plain velvet suits are the It-party wear for 2018. We also saw patchwork and patterned velvet suits in the collections of Dolce & Gabbana and Versace!
4. Extra Long Sleeves
So, the extra long sleeve trend has entered menswear, too! We’ve seen this trend in womenswear in Fall/ Winter 2017 collections. Well, guys, this is the ultimate trend during the chilling weather. So cozy and warm! Go for loose hand-covering sleeves for your slouchy shirts. You can also try the look by Salvatore Ferragamo of well-fitted shirt with extra long sleeves paired with a formal jacket.
5. Neck Scarves
Scarves are definitely stealing the show this year. After patterned scarves, we have neck skinny scarves. We saw knotted scarves in different sizes that varied from neck to chest level and also different shapes. From single to multiple layers, these scarves are surely head-turners. Pair them with suits, jeans or leather jackets. Also, try printed ones on a plain outfit to stand out. If that’s too bold for you then stick to solid colors like black and white.
6. Cross Body Bags
In the Fall 2018 collections, manbags were a common sight. In fact, they need a separate menswear fashion trend report of their own. But cross-body bags are a huge trend this year, especially worn with suits, fur jackets, and sleeveless shirts. From micro to medium sized, these cross body bags define your style. I also loved the double bag trend by Fendi. Try something like this for an airport look.
7. Multiple Necklaces
In the SS18 latest men’s fashion trends we saw, small necklaces and for FW18 we’re seeing multiple necklaces. You can try necklace piling by combining different designs and sizes or stick to a set. We saw Gucci, Dolce & Gabbana and Alexander McQueen showcasing this trend. Wear them to parties or casual outings!
8. Well Fitted Leather Pants
Skinny leather pants are still in! Rock ’em to parties, casual outings or even to dinner dates. We saw them in the designer collections of Moschino, Balmain, Diesel and Maison Margiela. They were paired with tee shirts, fur coats and leather jackets.
9. Sheer Shirts
We saw sheer shirt paired with leather pants in Moschino Spring Summer 2018 collection. But this season we saw the trend in two big designers’ collections, Versace and Louis Vuitton. And we’re personally loving seeing hot models in sheer shirts! When you have a great body, why hide it? Flaunt your abs with these shirts! I hope some designer uses this line for promotion. Lol!
