Look hot with crop jackets this year! Here are the most stylish and latest jacket trends we’ll be wearing in Spring Summer 2017!
Hey, beautiful! Jackets are a must-have in every girl’s wardrobe for fall and spring. Cropped jackets seemed like a short-lived trend last year, but in 2017, they are looking like a great investment, considering we saw them on nearly every fashion show including those of Dior, Max Mara, Dolce & Gabbana, Moschino, and Versace.
There are many ways to sport it. From cropped jeans to a maxi dress to pencil skirt, you can pair a cropped jacket with anything. It’s super trendy and adds a cool quotient to your outfit.
So, let’s discover the latest jacket trends from the Spring Summer 2017 runways!
Latest Jacket Trends – Crop Jacket Outfits That Will Rule 2017
1. Cropped Leather Jacket
Leather jackets are an essential in every closet. We saw patchwork, suede and multicolor panels in leather jackets. Pick a studded or embellished cropped leather jacket and pair it with a maxi dress like in one of the looks from Alice + Olivia. My favorite look from the SS17 runways is an all-black outfit by Versus Versace – combining all cropped separated together makes a cool outfit!
2. Cropped Jacket with Fur Detailing
Fur details were one of the top latest jackets trends we saw in fashion week. Fur collars, fur sleeves or fur shoulder detail are the elements that will make a cool statement! We also saw a fur vest in the Fendi show paired with a matching striped sweater.
3. Metallic Cropped Jacket
Metallics are super trendy this season and are not limited to just gold or silver. A metallic cropped jacket adds instant charm to the outfit. The Louis Vuitton blue metallic jacket looks alluring with the matching lace outfit. You can pick one in burgundy, navy blue or, metallic black. Or pick a bold metallic jacket with fur detailed shoulder and match it with cropped pants to make a statement like this look by Marc Jacobs.
4. Asymmetric Cropped Jacket
Though we didn’t see many asymmetric cropped jackets on the runway, we believe they are going to be big in 2017 in latest jacket trends. The Dolce & Gabbana double breasted button up jacket which is shorter on one side and longer other side is a bold look. Also, check out the one sleeve which is shorter than the other. So cool!
5. White Cropped Jacket
White jackets are classy! All-white outfits are still making waves on the runway. The Dolce & Gabbana crop white tuxedo jacket paired with white crop pants and shirt is my favorite. You can also try a double-breasted or leather white crop jacket this season.
6. Cropped Bomber Jacket
Cropped bomber jackets were huge on the runway for 2017 and why wouldn’t they be? They are so wearable and street style comfy. We saw the Moschino cropped hoodie bomber jacket paired with a matching tee-shirt dress. And also a bright colored cropped bomber jacket paired with a sequined dress by Marc Jacobs. So, obviously, it can be paired with both casual and party outfits!
7. Short Sleeve Crop Jacket
It’s spring! You want to get out of heavy coats and wear something lighter for the transition season. So, a short sleeved cropped jacket is perfect! We saw Dolce & Gabbana short sleeved crop jackets on the runway. In one look we see sleeves ending just below the elbow and is paired with matching pants. In another look, we see shorter sleeves and is paired with embellished crop pants. How cool is that!
8. Patterned & Patchwork Cropped Jackets
Prints were seen in the Spring Summer 2017 fashion shows in a big way. We saw patchwork leather jackets that looked so sexy. We want them to give the traditional black leather jackets a run for their money! Designers experimented with printed crop jackets, paired with both matching printed outfits or solid colors. Also floral and tropical printed cropped jackets were seen, paired with shorts and pants.
9. Off-the-Shoulder Cropped Jacket
Off-the-shoulder crop tops are passé! This spring, try off-the-shoulder cropped jackets! I’m totally in awe of this trend. I’m loving the off-the-shoulder cropped jacket with long sleeves by Vera Wang. Pairing it with a cool tank top or dress looks so, so trendy! It’s perfect for the transition season.
10. Khaki Cropped Jacket
Fashion takes inspiration from the military men seriously, eh? Khaki is a favorite when it comes to street style on the runways. We saw two looks of khaki cropped jackets by Versus Versace and both are paired with khaki separates. We like the pairing with a bright color top to break the monochrome.
11. Appliqué and Embroidered Cropped Jacket
Appliqué and embroidered crop jackets are going to be one of the hottest trends in 2017 as we saw many on the runways. In a look by Alice + Olivia, an embroidered crop jacket was paired with a printed dress. Another cool look by Fendi, with long appliquéd pockets. Pick one with trendy appliqué details to make a statement!
Personally, I love the Dolce & Gabbana look where a model wears a double breasted cropped jacket with Hussar-Frogging detail with a mini skirt.
