Latest Indo Western Dresses for 2017
1. High Low Kurta with Salwar Pants
The asymmetric kurta brings the high-low dress trend from the west. It can be paired with loosely fit salwar pants, dhoti, or cigarette pants. I love the monochromatic pairing! You can recreate this look by Amit Aggarwal for sangeet or mehendi ceremony. In fact, this outfit is even ideal for a small garden wedding.
2. Center Slit Skirt with Cropped Salwar Pants
You can wear a center slit skirt paired with cropped salwar pants and rich looking top. In this monochromatic outfit, different fabrics are used like lace, silk, georgette and chiffon. You can wear this kind of outfit to cocktail parties or a family dinner.
3. Asymmetric Kurta with Sheer Skirt
Love the pairing of sheer skirts with asymmetric kurta. Plus, sheer skirts are so in! You can also wear a scarf to make a statement. Wear this outfit to cocktail parties.
4. Saree with Jacket
Sarees are elegant and any Indian girl can carry them gracefully! Wear a matching jacket for an added western touch. Go for a well-fitted crop jacket to match your saree perfectly. You can wear this outfit to engagement, cocktail parties, or your colleague’s wedding.
5. Peplum Top with Cropped Salwar Pants
Peplum tops are elegant and chic! Get one in Indian silk for the perfect Indo western look and wear with salwar pants. An ideal outfit for wedding sangeet, mehendi or festivals.
6. Bundhgala with Salwar Pants
Here’s a look by Manav Gangwani – menswear-inspired womenswear. A bundhgala is paired with matching salwar pants. If you want to be comfortable but want to make a statement, too, then go for the bundhgala. I would pair it with cropped salwar pants. You can wear this outfit to your colleague’s wedding or a cocktail party, or your cousin’s engagement.
7. Sheer Kameez with LBD
Here’s another cool look by Ritu Kumar that has a long embroidered kameez worn over with a little black dress. You can pair it with cropped or sheer leggings for a bolder look! You can wear it to a cocktail party or family dinner.
8. Crop Top with Salwar Pants
Crop tops and skirts are a classic combination. Try something unique this season – pair them with salwar pants. A pretty crop top with shoulder cut-outs is paired with matching salwar pants. This is an easy breezy outfit and you can wear it to a dance party or cocktail party.
9. Anarkali with Cropped Cigarette Pants
Cropped cigarette pants are super-hot western wear. Pair them with asymmetric kurta or anarkali. If I’m heading to a party after work, I would wear this outfit. Perfect for festivals, wedding ceremonies or formal parties.
10. Saree Gown
Saree gowns are the perfect Indo-western outfits, combining the elegant Indian saree with the rich style of western gown. This style of saree gown is perfect for an engagement party, cocktail party or family dinner. I would also add an embellished neckline so I could ditch the accessories, too!
11. Crop Top with Salwar Pants and Long Jacket
Another look with crop top and salwar pants – but paired with a long jacket. Recreate this look by combining three matching separates and wear this outfit to a dance party, cocktail party or family dinner.
12. Anarkali with Poncho
Anarkalis are beautiful Indian wear and work perfectly for parties. I love this look – where a high low anarkali is paired with a matching color poncho. I also love the long knot in the poncho. This outfit is ideal for sangeet, engagement and mehendi.
13. Draped Chooridar Pant Jumpsuit
The Indian jumpsuit trend started last year and has a new avatar in 2017. This look is my most favorite look in latest indo western dresses! I love the bottom part of the outfit where the chooridar pant is draped like a skirt on one side and the top is embellished. It’s definitely a statement maker as at one glance it looks like a asymmetric skirt but on a closer look, it is a jumpsuit.Wear it to dance party or cocktail party.
14. Dhoti Saree with Jacket
Here’s another saree look by Tarun Tahiliani that’s more Indian with a stylish twist. It’s a dhoti saree paired with military inspired jacket with a hussar frogging. It’s paired with matching leggings. It’s a cool outfit in latest Indo western dresses. If you’re not comfortable with the regular saree, then you can opt for pre-draped saree. This outfit is ideal during winter as the jacket would keep you warm. Otherwise, I would pair it with a sleeveless crop vest. You can wear to an engagement, cocktail party, family dinner or colleague’s wedding.
15. Sheer Poncho with Lehenga
Manish Malhotra has a thing for ponchos. The off white sheer poncho paired with golden lehenga is alluring. Instead of a dupatta, pairing lehenga with poncho makes a great statement. If you don’t want it to be too heavy, wear a long Indian skirt with an Indian top and pair it with embellished poncho. Wear it to your friend’s wedding, engagement, destination wedding or wedding sangeet.
