Hey gorgeous! You know what – you’re not just gorgeous, you’re extraordinary. So I’m gonna say, hey extraordinary! Spring is officially here, and it’s time to try bright colors as well as pastels. It’s time to let our hair down as well as try creative buns and knots. So I went through all the Spring Summer 2016 fashion shows, both couture and ready-to-wear, to select the hottest and latest hairstyles for 2016!

#1: Naturally Wavy Hair in Subtle Layers

Say what you want but the au naturel hair look isn’t going out of style anytime soon. From beachy waves to kinda-straight-but-actually-wavy, these designers paired the natural waves with everything from evening gowns to skimpy bikinis! And avoid the sharp-cut layers of 2000s. Instead, tell your stylist to give you more grown-out, natural layers.

#2: The Center Part

Yes, I mentioned the center part as one of the trendiest hairstyles in my Celebrity Hairstyle Trends for Fall Winter 2016 article. And it’s still very trendy because we saw it on so many runways! Take a look:

#3: Vintage & Period Hairstyles

From Valentino’s medieval half-up hair with two crown twists pulled back to Diane von Furstenberg’s 70s glam curls, we saw everything between these two periods. Chanel’s elegant chignons were a cross between 40s buns and 15th century Japanese hairstyles, and Jean Paul Gaultier’s top-poof was very 40s. And then there was Schiaparelli’s curls that were reminiscent of 19th century royalty.

#4: The Hair Cuts & Fringes

2015 may have been the year of really wild fringes, but in 2016, we saw both asymmetric and symmetric fringes or bangs on the runways. And look how much of them we saw!

#5: Loose Knots

From side-pinned hair at Dior to free-hanging side-bangs at Oscar de la Renta, we saw a lot of loose ponytails as well as top knots. So yes, carefree waves, knots and ponytails are all en vogue this Spring Summer. And it’s as easy as it’s going to get!

#6: Headbands & Head Scarves

Here comes my favorite trend! I love hair accessories, and I love trying out head scarves and bandanas. And in Spring Summer 2016 collections, we saw plenty of both. With headbands. So try out ribbon bands, metallic bands, embellished hair accessories and head scarves! My favorite looks are the Ralph & Russo and Dolce & Gabbana ones here:

#7: Party Buns

Of course, no matter what the season, we have to party! Because we work hard and party harder! And this season, apart from the loose top knots, party and fancy buns are also very trendy. Here are some ideas:

#8: Straight Hair

Whether you like it sleek or messy, this spring, it’s all great. Because we saw very gorgeous, straight hair on some of our favorite designer runways, like Jonathan Saunders, Zuhair Murad, Rebecca Minkoff and Louis Vuitton.
