Latest Hair Accessory Trends for Fall 2017
1. Embellished Headbands
Headbands are great multi-taskers and add glam to any haircut. We saw headbands in some of our favorite designer collections like Chanel, Elie Saab and Dolce & Gabbana. We noticed embellished headbands with sleek and designer logos on them. Great option for cocktail parties and weddings.
Headpieces or fascinators are great for special occasions and weddings. This season we saw floral, cardboard, peacock feathered and even a miniature robot design in the fashion shows of Marchesa, Moschino, Maison Margiela and Dolce & Gabbana. Match it with your dress or go contrast as both are trendy!
3. Matching Hats
This one is for you hat lovers. We saw different types of hats matched to the outfits in the runway collections of Dior, Chanel, Alberta Ferretti and many more. I’m loving the black beret matching hat to the black dress by Dior.
4. Feather & Fur Hair Accessories
My favorite hair accessory trend for FW17 is this one! Prada came up with tall fur hats, Jean Paul Gaultier with large fur statement hats, Altuzarra with pearl fur head bands and Ralph & Russo with tall strappy feather hats. I would love to try fur hats and bands in the upcoming season.
5. Logos & Texts
Logos and texts made waves in Fall Winter 2017 collections. We saw wool beanies, bands and statement hats with brand logos and texts in the collections of Dolce & Gabbana, Gucci, Moschino and Versace. If you’re feeling bold, go for a large text like Versaces ‘Courage’. If you like it subtle, go for a small-sized logo, or get it embroidered with your name!
6. Tall Hats
Hats have been on fashion radar in a unique way this season. I love trying hats like pom-pom beanies and fur hats. And in latest fashion shows, we saw tall hats with different designs and fabrics. My favorite one is the strappy embroidered hat by Ralph & Russo.
7. Statement Hair Accessories
In Fall 2017, designers came up with different designs in statement hair accessories. In Jean Paul Gaultier we saw a large oversized statement fur hat, a T-shaped hair accessory in Maison Margiela and embellished novelty statement tiaras in Dolce & Gabbana.
Designers played with all sorts of veils this season – long plain veils, ruffled statement ones, those with embellished hairpieces and even tiny veils attached to beanies. This season we saw classic black and colored veils on the runways of some of our favorite designers. I’m loving the red tulle veil by Givenchy.
It’s time for a blast from the past. The bows from your childhood have come up to create a stylish look in the hair accessories. So trendy! Bows look very pretty and make us feel like little girls. Stylish, too! So adorn your hair with oversized or medium bows on headbands or fascinators as we saw them in the fashion shows of Dolce & Gabbana, Marchesa and Moschino.
Bye bye, boho flower crowns! The tiara is back as a fashion trend this season! This Fall 2017, we saw sleek and broad embellished tiaras in the runway collections of Dolce & Gabbana, Alberta Ferretti and Zuhair Murad.
