Karn Malhotra’s latest collection at Lakme Fashion Week was titled ‘The Siren Squad’. Inspired by the 80s glam, the collection was overloaded with vibrant colors and sequins. There were some black and white outfits too, like this one on Amy Jackson, the showstopper. Colorblocking may not be back just yet, but we are liking the allure of the long sleeves combined with some of the latest trends of the season – plunging neckline and thigh-high and hip-high slits.
The makeup was pin-up girl material – with falsies and loads of mascara, and red lips. For the other models, it was lightly shimmery lips and poofy hair -very doable for summer night outs!
Although instead of a broad and loose choker that takes away some of the sexy-factor, I would try a more fitted choker, something with more bling, and replace the shoes with ankle-strap high heels!
