I absolutely love traveling, and I know you do too if you read my blog! Most of my friends do, but the one problem a lot of us face is that we don’t know how to pack light. Traveling with a lighter suitcase lets you do so much more, you won’t have to take rounds of the train stations looking for escalators, and you won’t have to worry about cab expenses because you can just walk or take the bus/metro, you won’t have to worry about looking like a mess pulling it up at the airports/hotel staircases. It has so many pros, though only one con, you may have fewer dresses to wear on your trip! And that’s why I decided to pull out two of my travel looks in which I created two completely different outfits by wearing the same little black dress with different accessories and hair/makeup.

This is my favorite little black dress and I think it’s a perfect LBD. I bought it while traveling in India from a tiny local store. It’s comfortable, yet sexy- its hemline falls a few inches above the knee and has a sheer look with black fabric roses that are subtle but very cute. The top of the dress is simple with a plain high neckline which makes it even more versatile, because I can just add leggings to it and wear it to my conservative travel destinations. The shoulder has a knot detail.

Day wear: Venice, Italy

I wore this dress in the day while sight-seeing with my friend on my last day in Venice. I wore it with subtle makeup and winged eyeliner to make just my eyes pop and lips natural. I let the hair lose for an natural undone wavy sort of look. I wanted to add a pop of color to my outfit, so I paired it with turquoise flats and a large turquoise handbag in faux-leather to keep all my travel paraphernalia- camera, sunglasses, passport, lipbalm, the works. And I wore a statement necklace in rhodium-plating with beaten texture so I didn’t need any more jewelry.

Night wear: Las Vegas, NV

I wore the same dress for a night out in Vegas to the Cirque du Soleil (which is an absolute must-watch, by the way!) This time I wanted my outfit to look very elegant and classy, I didn’t want to add more color, so I just paired the dress with stylish pair of black pumps and a multi-layered pearl necklace with sheer black roses to match the ones on the dress’s hemline. I pulled half my hair back and tucked them with a clip into a semi-poof, and wore simple makeup with lots of kohl and a pink lipstick.
