Latest Bridal Trends for 2017

1. Sweetheart Neckline

Sweetheart neckline defines the romantic style and is on top of our list of latest bridal trends. We saw bold necklines in many collections and also a softer version of the neckline by Max Mara.

2. Short Bridal Gowns

Short bridal gowns look really youthful and chic – they make you a one-of-a-kind bride. We have seen short bridal dresses in the past few seasons too! This season, we saw mini and knee length dresses. I like the bridal mini dress paired with thigh-high boots by Naeem Khan.

3. Colored Gowns

Colored gowns are a new trend we’re seeing this year. If you want to try something unique, then pick up a colored gown over the traditional white one. We saw peach, nude and even bright yellow colored gowns.

4. Capes

Caped gowns look romantic and give princess look. Long trailed capes, shorter capes, capes ending at the hemline of the gown and embellished caped gowns were seen in the collection of Alberta Ferretti, Elie Saab, Oscar de la Renta, Zuhair Murad and many more.

5. Backless Bridal Gown

Backless bridal gowns are still in this year! We’re loving the sexy yet sophisticated designs. From lace cut outs to deep U-cuts, they were mesmerizing. I’m loving the oversized back bow by Oscar de la Renta.

6. Layered Gowns

Layered gowns are quiet trendy and we saw them in different styles – ruffles, fringes and overskirt. Ruffles look dreamy and the overskirt really makes a statement. I’m loving the overskirt layering.

7. Long Sleeved Gowns

Long sheer sleeves are romantic in latest bridal trends. We saw slit bell sleeves in a look by Elie Saab and the look by Galia Lahav has sleeves which are not attached to the gown.

8. Gowns with Long Trails

Long trails are trendy and look magical and dreamy. From Oscar de la Renta to Nicole Miller, we saw long trails trending.

9. Off-the-Shoulder Gowns

Off-the-shoulder dresses let you look classy and sexy at the same time. If you want a bolder look, try something like Galia Lahav’s look that is off-the-shoulder with a plunging V-neckline.

10. Plunging V-Neckline

If you’re the bold bride, then you should definitely try plunging V-neckline. In a few looks, we we saw the neckline extended upto the waistline. I loved the look by Zuhair Murad that is neither too low nor too high.

11. Sheer Dresses

Sheer gowns are bold for a bride but can be alluring too! We saw sheer sleeves, sheer skirts and full sheer gowns. If you don’t want it too bold, then go for sheer sleeves or sheer back.

12. Asymmetric Wedding Gowns

Asymmetric gowns are not a new trend. We have seen them in the past few sesons too! The asymmetric or high-low trend is still going strong this year. A front slit was seen in a look by Elie Saab.

13. Unusual Silhouettes & Statement Dresses

We saw some really unique ways of wearing the bridal gowns. In one look, a blouse was worn over a gown and in another look a sleeveless coat was worn on a gown. Also, the look by Naeem Khan had fur trimmed collar and sleeves.
