Last season, Guo Pei came up with the “legend” theme. This year, Guo Pei haute couture Fall/Winter 2017 collection has brought a fairy tale to life. Guo Pei said about the collection in an interview, “For a long time, I have been using my designs and my work to express my feelings, my dreams and speak from my heart. This season, I decided to just focus on the clothing itself.”

Guo Pei said about the collection in an interview, “For a long time, I have been using my designs and my work to express my feelings, my dreams and speak from my heart. This season, I decided to just focus on the clothing itself.”The collection included marvelous silhouettes ranging from strapless dresses, ornamental bustier ball gowns with statement sleeves and voluminous skirts with lot of metallic luster, embellished shine and royal elements. As it always is with Guo Pei haute couture, rich fabrics like silk, tulle, satin – all with metallic and shimmery looks – were used throughout the collection. Last year we saw hair accessories like ornate, decorative fascinators and this year precious stone necklaces by Chopard, statement chokers, diamond drop earrings and studded necklaces matched perfectly with the Guo Pei designs. I’m loving the black ruffled and the one shoulder floral gowns.
