Gucci Fall/ Winter 2017 RTW collection at Milan Fashion Week was too much to take with menswear and womenswear together and 119 looks. Floral prints, tiger motifs, 80s hairdo and glasses were the highlights of the collection. The show was set up in a glass enclosed runway that had a pyramid at the top. The looks from the collection were a combination of garden theme, party and tribal looks with the oxidized jewelry like nose pins, earrings and finger rings.

Glasses gave a geeky look. Logo headbands and a turban surely made a statement in the women’s collection. The show had an oriental theme (again!) as floral prints on satin and Japanese parasols were seen on a few looks. Different types of fabrics like satin, sheer and velvet were used.

Bright colors like green, red, purple and metallics were seen. Solid colored gowns looked elegant and chic. There were floral appliqué details on the gowns and butterfly patterns on dresses. Other than jewelry, accessories included matching mini-bags. Some faces looks accompanied covered with meshes, which more or less looked like a thief!

Graphic tee shirts and sweaters, denim jackets, checkered suits and man purses were the highlights in menswear.

Here’s an extreme look – a model wearing a suit with tiger motifs at the bottom and a circle cutout on the upper half of the torso.
