Wondering what to wear to work on Fridays? Tuning into the weekend-vibe, here are 9 casual Friday outfit ideas that’ll make you comfy, elegant yet casual!
Hey gorgeous! Fridays are indeed one of the best days in the entire week. No, they are THE best! It’s the last working day of the week – the next working day seems far, far away! Fridays come with a promise of two full days of partying or chilling with Netflix – whichever you prefer – and you get to wear casuals at work! The first office I joined after college even used to have a “casual” menu for lunch on Fridays, which meant yummy Chinese food or Indian street delicacies. But as all good things come to an end, that stopped coming to our office before long, too.
Well, Chinese food aside, I still love Friday dressing. But sometimes (okay, in my case, most of the time) we get stuck in a rut and without putting much thought into it, inevitably make jeans and t-shirts our Friday uniforms. And there’s nothing wrong with finding a comfort zone. But Fridays are also for getting out of uniform – out of a rut – and to get into the fun, playful weekend vibe!
So here are lots of chic, un-tee-shirty casual Friday outfit ideas that’ll make you feel like a whole new person every week!
9 Casual Friday Outfit Ideas: Chic Friday Dressing
1. Capris
The easiest option and possibly something you already wear to work on Fridays. And that’s why, this probably tops my list of casual Friday outfit ideas. You can try denim or cotton capris in the summer, and suede, corduroy or wool ones in the winter. Pair them with loafers, brogues or espadrilles. And add a sleeveless shell in a pastel or cool neutral color with a dainty necklace to complete your Friday look!
2. Culottes
Culottes are a chicer and even more comfortable option than capris. Get an ironed, polished looking pair in cotton or crepe and team it up with a well-fitted top or bodysuit. Add a leather shoulder bag and drop earrings with ballet flats. You can also add some simple hair accessories.
3. Dress
A maxi is a great way to switch things up for casual Friday and bring the free, weekend spirit to your workplace. Avoid anything embellished or poofy. Go for simple straight lines. A midi or knee-length dress is a great option if you’re looking for something office-y! Pair with wedge heels, layered chain necklaces and a fun sling bag.
4. Knee Length Skirt
Here’s yet another easy and rightly common option that suits all body types and age groups. I love A-line skirts on Fridays – they look sophisticated yet casual. Pair with a cowl neck top or a polo tee. Or wear a high-waisted skirt with a crop top. Add a cross-body bag, pair of studs and trendy white sneakers to complete the youthful look.
5. Jumpsuit
Get a jumpsuit in a relaxed-fit for a casual Friday at work look, or go for a fitted one for a more polished look. Pair with wedges, loafers, flats or pumps. Add a structured bag, dainty bracelet and a watch to keep your look on the semi-formal side.
6. Artsy Outfit
Choose a graphic tee-shirt that speaks to you, and pair it with boyfriend jeans, drop earrings and a backpack. Or go for an appliqued jacket or an art-printed dress. Pair with minimalist jewelry like stud earrings and strappy heels.
7. Off-the-Shoulder Top
If you have a casual office environment, off-shoulder tops would be great for Friday dressing. If not, you can go for a top with cut-out shoulders, or a boat-neck top. Whether it’s loose or fitted, both can be paired with skinny jeans, pumps and a slim bag for a casual yet elegant look.
8. Cape Tunic
Cape tunics are unusual, and can make a real statement, yet be comfortable. Pick a neutral colored one and pair it with straight-fit or skinny jeans and pumps or ballet flats.
9. Peasant Top
The Spanish-inspired style is great at being casual yet wearable for casual Friday dressing. Pair a white or pastel-colored peasant top with skinny jeans or trousers and flats.
So my angels, hope all these casual Friday outfit ideas were helpful. What do you wear when you wanna switch it up? Hope my list gave you lots of new ideas. #KeepItStylish!
