The latest flared pants trend: from Michael Kors to Chanel, designers made a case for 70s flared pants in their collections. Wanna check out how to wear the latest flared pants trend?

We saw flared and bootcut trousers on the runways from Resort 2016 collections to Autumn Winter 2015-2016 to Copenhagen Fashion Week. Looks like they are the next it-thing to have this season.

While flared and cropped denim culottes sporting embroidery of nature-inspired birds of paradise were the look of the season for Roberto Cavalli’s 70’s-inspired Resort 2016 collection, Chanel Cruise Collection at Seoul earlier this summer had flared sleeves to flared trousers and cropped trousers.

Length and Style of the Latest Flared Pants Trend

The flared pants shown this season were different cuts and styles. For some, it was cropped to above the ankles, like flared culottes, and for others it was floor-length. Chanel showed lightly flared, boot-cut trousers, whereas Michael Kors and Diane von Furstenberg showed cuts that were more flared and flowy. Looking comfortable!

What to pair them with?

Alice+Olivia, Chanel and Daine von Furstenberg collections showed flared pants being worn with well-fitted tops and blouses with lady-like silhouettes. On the other hand, Tracy Reese, Chloé and Josh Goot showed them with loose tops and cropped flounce blouses.

Roberto Cavalli, as mentioned earlier, was all out with the 70s retro theme for his Resort 2016 collection. Their collection had flared denims paired with blouses with flared sleeves to match. While Michael Kors paired them with knee-length fall jacket.

I personally prefer flared pants with form-fitted blouses. What’s your pick for this latest trend?

So what do you say for the flared pants trend? Yay or nay? Will you wear it this season?
