If Kate Moss and Kendall Jenner’s latest style is any indication, the micro mini dress is back in fashion! Let’s take a look at their dresses, and some of our favorite mini skirt looks from Gossip Girl to recreate!

Hey gorgeous! There are some fashion trends that are gender specific, like the jumpsuit. Men don’t wear jumpsuits. And then there are some trends that are age specific. Like the micro mini skirt or dress. That’s forever been the domain of college girls and max twenty something’s! That’s why we saw a lot of micro minis in Gossip Girl!

And anyway, the micro had slipped to the bottom of my closet when I graduated from university. But also because it was so out. And had been replaced with the midi skirts.

The Micro Mini is Back

And as it always does in fashion, all that’s now changing since the micro mini dress is not only back, but also it’s for everyone now. Just in time for the summer! Perfect!

And I can say that because Kate Moss was just spotted in this mini-est of dresses by Saint Laurent – 44 year old legs and cellulite and all. Who says you have to stop wearing certain fashion trends when you’re 40?

And thats not just why we know the micro mini dress is back. Even Kendall Jenner has been rooting for it. She wore this teensy micro dress to Vanity Fair‘s Oscars afterparty just last month.

And she even wore a micro mini sweater dress – okay, let’s just call it a sweater – last month.

Other than the above picture of Serena van der Woodsen (played by Blake Lively) in Gossip Girl, here are some other outfits we loved of Jenny Humphrey in that beloved girly TV series – one is a micro mini skirt and another is a dress:

So maybe the micro mini is replacing the short shorts. Move over hip-rips and midi skirts – we got some legs to show!

What do you think of this trend? Will you be trying it? Lemme know below! And if you do decide to rock this back-again trend, don’t forget to tag me on Instagram @shilpaahujadotcom!
