And then we love to mix and match the ideas for a unique look! Inspired by the Spring Summer 2017 fashion shows, we have rounded up the fashion makeup trends that’ll help you be your own makeup artist.
So let’s take a look at the 8 latest makeup trends from Spring Summer 2017 collections.
Fashion Makeup Trends for SS17
#1: Party Ready Lips
We saw many bold lip colors like dusty pink, wild orchid and carmine. Red lips rule the shows every season and hence you can never go wrong with this color. The most eye-catching lips were seen at Fendi show – rose gold glitter over a dusty-pink base. We also saw poppy red at Versus Versace that we’d love to try!
#2: Pop-Colored Eye Makeup
We saw many bold eye makeup looks this season. On the Max Mara models the eyeshadow was extended to the temples. Also, different colors were used in the eyeshadow. The most unique look had colored eyebrows by Gucci. Are you bold enough to try this trend?
#3: Statement Eyeliner
Eyeliner has taken its own twists and turns this season. The use of eyeliner varied from one runway to the other. In the Fendi show, a bold cat-eye was used, with thick liner both at the inner and outer corner, and a thin middle. Where as in Louis Vuitton, a double liner was applied.
#4: Blush Love
This season we are seeing the blush extended to the temples. We saw both natural and a new blush colors pink and bronze. Look youthful with dash of blush on the cheeks. I loved the makeup look of Chanel wherein the pink blush went up to the temples.
#5: Bold Eyebrows
Eyebrows are not be be ignored any longer. For Spring Summer 2017, avoid getting your eyebrows over plucked, because we saw bold brows on the SS17 runways. Comb and make them bolder with brow gel or mascara.
#6: Light Contouring
While no contouring was the trend in Fall Winter 2016, this season we saw light or natural contouring. Many fashion houses like Louis Vuitton, Prada and Lanvin has tried this makeup look to a sculpted face without too strong lines.
#7: Nude Makeup
Don’t want to go for heavy makeup yet want to cover those teeny tiny marks? Then go for this trend! No makeup was a trend even last season. This season we saw nude makeup look with a glowing face, little blush and mascara. Concentrate just a bit on eyes or face to get this look.
#8: Pale Lip Shades
We have been seeing this trend since last season and it is still on! Many design houses like Balmain, Givenchy and Alexander McQueen tried this makeup look. Lip shades like pink passion, nude creme and barely there are in this season.
So, these are the top fashion makeup trends from the Spring Summer 2017 ready-to-wear runways. My favorite trend this season is the statement eyeliner, as I love to play with eyes. Which trend are you looking forward to try? Share your opinion in the comments below.
