Hey gorgeous! Fall season is here and it’s time to stack up your wardrobe with outerwear and sweaters. Sweaters are a must-have in this bone chilling weather. We love the coziness that the sweaters give when it’s freezing outside. Sweaters don’t have to be plain and boring or too old school! As the fall season is approaching, we went through all the designer collections from the Fall Winter 2017-18 RTW to pick the latest trendy sweaters.

We saw various new trends and a few basic ones that are still making waves in fashion week. So, after making a list of different types of sweaters (our research included 100+ images!), we rounded off 9 latest sweater trends for you! Be a headturner by sporting trendy sweaters this winter with latest sweater fashion.

Latest Fall Sweater Trends for 2017

1. Slouchy Sweaters

Slouchy sweaters are super hot this fall. We saw oversized sweaters with extra long sleeves in fall fashion sweaters. They were paired with skirts, denim, trousers and even dresses! A very casual and cozy style for Fall 2017. I loved this one shoulder slouchy sweater by Burberry.

2. Half-Sleeved Sweaters

Half sleeves are everywhere this year. They are trendy in both men’s and women’s outerwear. And I feel they will continue to make waves next year, too. We saw bell sleeved fringed sweater, a long asymmetric sweater, a bright red sweater and patterned matching sweater in fall sweater trends.

3. Extra Long Sweaters

Extra long sweaters are super-hot this fall. We saw hip length sweaters with extra-long sleeves. These sweaters were similar to slouchy ones, only that these sweaters are extra long. They were paired with skirts and trousers or worn just by themselves.

4. Turtleneck Sweaters

Turtleneck is still in this Fall 2017. From Dior to Max Mara to Versus Versace, we saw turtleneck sweaters in all top designer collections. We saw different types – half turtleneck, slouchy, zipper detailed and layered. They were paired with both formal and casual outfits.

5. One-Sleeved Sweaters

The one-sleeved style is not just trendy in tops and dresses but in sweater fashion too. And why not?! But wearing only the sweater with one sleeve and leaving the other arm to freeze doesn’t make sense. Maybe a full sleeved top can be paired with the one-sleeved sweater to keep it warm. But then, fashion knows not of comfort. We saw a half sleeved and asymmetric full sleeved sweater, a layered turtleneck with sleeve details and a slip top kind of sweater.

6. Crop Sweaters

Crop sweaters are back. Yay! This fall’s gonna be super stylish. We saw cut outs, graphic art and extremely cropped sweaters. They were paired with trousers, skirts, jeans and on dresses, too!

7. Sweaters with Cut Outs

Cut outs for winter is definitely not a great idea. But designers are setting this new trend with subtle cut-out details in sweater fashion. We saw them on sleeves, body and chest in designer collections of Burberry, Christopher Kane and Fendi. A really chic trend, although not totally warm!

8. Sweater Dresses

Just when we thought sweater dresses were becoming passé, the designers surprise us with some chic ones! We saw one-sleeved asymmetric, plaid patterned midi and full sleeved two tone double slit sweater dresses. We’ll be wearing sweater dresses to parties, casual outings and office, too!

9. Asymmetric Sweaters

The asymmetric trend is here to stay. We saw the high low trend in many looks. We saw one sleeved, a full sleeved and ombré asymmetric high-low ones by Versace in fall sweater trends.
