Dolce & Gabbana Spring Summer 2019 collection had diversity not only in the looks but also in different body types, ages and ethnicity. We saw grandparents walking the ramp with their grandchildren. Isabella Rossellini, a 90s supermodel walked the ramp with her entire family, including the newborn grandson. Lady Kitty Spencer, Carla Bruni, Eva Herzigova, Helena Christensen, and Karen Elson – all the 90s supermodels walked in style.
Monica Bellucci opened the show in a black and white polka dotted dress. “Each one of us is a king or queen of our lives,” says the fashion show description. And this was what the inspiration or the theme of the show. Each one has a unique set of genes so why not acknowledge it.
With nearly 150 looks, there was a lot of diversity in the styles. Embroidered and embellished jackets have been the brands’ strong point and we could witness that in the Spring 2019 collection too. Brocade three-piece suits, high-waist pants, relaxed trousers and ruffle dresses were seen. Even the options in casual wear were opulent.
We’re seeing in loads of collections that mesh dresses are ruling the Spring 2019 season. we’ve seen them in Dior and now in the Dolce & Gabbana collection.
Dolce Gabbana Spring Summer 201 collection also had a model wearing mini shorts paired with floral printed ruffle top and exaggerated headgear. It looks so summery!
