With an extraordinarily huge collection, Dolce & Gabbana Fall/ Winter 2017 collection at Milan Fashion Week was extravagant as always. With numerous looks and so many models walk for the collection, it had people of different age-groups. Youtube and Instagram influencers and even a few celeb kids walked the show. The quintessential family theme of Dolce & Gabbana thus became the most interesting part of the show – different types of looks, few plus sized models, moms, siblings and even babies – because why not?
The color palette had classic colors like black and white. Metallics were used here and there. A bright solid colored yellow and pink suit was seen. Different types of patterns were used – floral, graphic and animal.
Floral printed dresses, suits, coats and gowns were embellished beautifully! The floral printed dress with patterned jacket looked exotic and royal. You cannot miss the floral suit paired right with patchwork sneakers. Also, the plain teal green dress with minimal floral prints looks classy and elegant.
Floral appliquéd dress and jacket looked feminine and artistic.
Leopard print took center stage. Graphics with animal motifs like cats were used on gown, dress and a coat. The white sheer gown with wordings was my favorite.
Some of the graphic paintings, were like spaceship, galaxy and astronauts, which looked really lovely. Another notable thing from the collection were the bottoms. There were patchwork denims with texts and striped pants.
The white polar bear hoodie looked similar to the Fall Winter 2017 menswear collection that had a polar bag. Though the outfit is quite bold, the fur slippers and gloves would make for cool winter accessories. One cannot miss the Justin Bieber tee shirts with word ‘King’ ensembled on them.
Beautiful crowns, tiaras and fancy headbands for a royal look that we see in every Dolce & Gabbana collection. The accessories like layered necklaces and earrings were seen too.
My favorite look from the collection was a pair of floral printed pants paired with simple grey tee shirt. I love the embellished sunglasses and the jewelry. I also liked the look with a tee shirt with text and cropped trousers.
