Who did it better: Runway or Red Carpet? Check out how celebrities & Hollywood beauties wore the latest Spring Summer 2016 couture runway dresses.
Julianne Moore in Black Chanel Gown at Oscars 2016
Julianne Moore glammed up a black Chanel plunging V-neck gown with embellished neckline to Oscars. The gown is from the latest Chanel Spring Summer 2016 couture collection, which was worn on the runway by Kendall Jenner who has a very interesting hairstyle against Julianne’s. Also we love the exaggerated embellished hemline in the runway gown.
Verdict: Runway or red carpet? Runway
Lady Gaga in Marc Jacobs Gown at Grammy’s 2016
Lady Gaga, needless to say, broke all monotonies of the Grammy’s 2016 night, and arrived in this Marc Jacobs coat gown with a waist-high front slit. The gown is not exactly from the runway, but it’s custom-made and the heels are very runway! The delicate embroidery on it gave it a very rockstar look!

Kylie Minogue in Ralph & Russo at the Brit Awards
Kylie Minogue caught more eyes presenting the ‘Best Male Solo Artist’ award at The Brit Awards than the award-winner himself! She wore a strapless cocktail dress in silk organza from the Ralph & Russo Spring/Summer 2016 couture collection. The dress had geometric cut outs, a micro-paillette under layer and an appliquéd organza voluminous cape at the back. I would have really preferred pointy toe pumps like the runway model’s but then again ankle strap heels are never a misfit. Plus we love the loose hair knot and the diamond necklace.
Verdict: Runway or red carpet? Red Carpet
Arizona Muse in Ralph & Russo at the Elle Style Awards
Arizona Muse wore this elegant sheer silver gossamer gown with laser-cut taffeta hand-appliqué to Elle Style Awards from the Spring/Summer 2016 couture collection of Ralph & Russo. There’s no additional accessorization, but we love the simpler makeup on the runway model.
Verdict: Runway or red carpet? Runway
Blake Lively in Ralph & Russo to a State Dinner at the White House
The Gossip Girl actress, Blake Lively, looked elegant in a fluid silver satin robe with cut out shoulders by Ralph & Russo to a State Dinner at the White House, Washington, in the honor of Canadian Prime Minister, Justin Trudeau. We love her choice of large drop earrings and a matching box clutch. But we love those matching heels on the runway better with it. Blake’s nude pumps make the robe look too casual, for an occasion like this.
Verdict: Runway or red carpet? Runway
Elizabeth Banks in Ralph & Russo at the Vanity Fair Oscar Party
Elizabeth Banks shined in a caped palazzo jumpsuit in white crêpe with lace bodice, embroidered with silver crystals by Ralph & Russo to the 2016 Vanity Fair Oscar Party in Los Angeles. Really love the side bun and white box clutch. She just nailed it!

Jenna Dewan Tatum in Ralph & Russo at a Movie Premiere
Jenna Dewan Tatum stunned in a strapless khaki silk dress with silk thread, pearl and metallic embellishments designed by Ralph & Russo at the premiere of ‘Hail, Caesar!’ in Los Angeles. Her long bob haircut really suits the strapless outfit, even though she kept it as unaccessorized as the runway version.
Verdict: Runway or red carpet? Red Carpet
Jourdan Dunn in Ralph & Russo at a Movie Premiere
Jourdan Dunn attended the London premiere of ‘Zoolander 2’ in a Ralph & Russo dress. It’s a pearl and silver iridescent silk and organza bustier dress with appliqué and embellishments. Jourdan preferred an ombre bob cut over a bun, but both the styles look nice on this outfit.
Verdict: Runway or red carpet? Red Carpet
Kate Bosworth in Ralph & Russo at the Vanity Fair Oscar Party
Kate Bosworth looked radiant in a Ralph & Russo gown at the 2016 Vanity Fair Oscar Party in Los Angeles. She wore a dusky blue silk crêpe fishtail gown with overflowing organza and feather petal corsage. She wore it very elegantly with a bold red lip and box clutch. And we prefer the simple bun on Kate over the headband look.
Verdict: Runway or red carpet? Red Carpet
Dame Natalie Massenet in Ralph & Russo at the New Year’s Honours
In February 2016, Dame Natalie Massenet was invested as a Dame Commander of the Order of the British Empire by The Prince of Wales at Buckingham Palace. She was granted the award for services to the fashion and retail industries, in the New Year’s Honours and wore a Ralph & Russo scarlet red wool crêpe peplum tailleur. Once again, not exactly a runway article, but it’s inspired by the SS16 runway collection. We love the professional cut though!
Verdict: Runway or red carpet? Red Carpet
Olga Kurylenko in Ralph & Russo at the British Academy Film Awards
Olga Kurylenko looked divine in a Ralph & Russo dress at the 69th EE British Academy Film Awards in London. She wore a white tulle gown with silk organza collar and cuff, elaborately embellished with silver bullion, feathers, pearls, crystals and vinyl ribbons. I love the side-styled curls as much as that white clutch. Perfection.

Suki Waterhouse in Ralph & Russo at a Vogue Exhibition
British model, Suki Waterhouse wore a black backless peplum jacket and a draped tulip silk chiffon skirt from Ralph & Russo‘s Spring/Summer 2016 couture collection to the launch of ‘Vogue 100: A Century of Style’. Adoring those ankle strap heels and the carefree wavy hair.
Verdict: Runway or red carpet? Red Carpet
Danai Gurira in Schiaparelli at a Broadway Opening
Danai Gurira arrived at the “Eclipsed” Broadway opening night in a turquoise blue draped Schiaparelli haute couture gown. We love the drape of the gown better on Danai’s curvy figure. But we feel that both the runway and red carpet hair could have been done better to give justice to this gorgeous gown.
Verdict: Runway or red carpet? Red Carpet
January Jones in Schiaparelli at the SAG Awards
January Jones wore an aquamarine and tea green silk gown from Schiaparelli haute couture SS16 collection at the SAG Awards. I really like January’s wavy bun – very elegant and perfect for the gown.
Verdict: Runway or red carpet? Red Carpet
Alessandra Ambrosio in Versace at the Grammy’s
Actress and Victoria’s Secret Angel Alessandra Ambrosio wore this black gown with a thigh-high slit and strappy heels by Atelier Versace to the Grammy Awards. Alessandra looks stunningly hot (as always) with the black choker and gladiator heels. Love that hair. Again, nailed it!
Verdict: Runway or red carpet? Red Carpet
Priyanka Chopra in Vera Wang at People’s Choice Awards
Priyanka chopra stunned in this gold and silver sequin halter dress by Vera Wang at the People’s Choice Awards. Priyanka wore matching silver pointy-toe heels a high bun that complements the look. She modified a casual runway look to a red carpet hotness!

Priyanka Chopra in Zuhair Murad at the Oscars 2016
Yet again, the Indian beauty, Priyanka Chopra looked divine in this sheer white strapless mermaid gown by Zuhair Murad at the Oscars 2016. I’m not a fan of her hair but she rocks the clutch and attitude!
Verdict: Runway or red carpet? Red Carpet
Beyoncé in Inbal Dror at the Grammy Awards
Beyoncé wore a sheer white collared long trail gown designed by Inbal Dror to her big night at the Grammy Awards. Beyoncé usually never disappoints, but here, I love how the model’s hair is styled in nonchalant waves.

I wish Julianne Moore was wearing the exact version of the runway dress with the hemline. Then, she wouldn’t have landed in my worst dressed. The heavy neckline doesn’t make sense alone.
