Jeans are everyone’s go-to wardrobe staple. They’re so versatile, there’s so much you can do with them! From dressing it up to dressing it down, a good pair of jeans will never let you down. And that’s why we went through all the Spring 2018 RTW collections looking for the most stylish jeans for women. Whether you prefer classic vintage-style jeans, modern cropped ones or bold statement jeans, here’s the latest jeans trends for Spring 2018 you just can’t go wrong with!

Latest Jeans Trends for Spring Summer 2018

1. Unwashed Jeans

As a person that despises faded jeans, I was more than glad to see designers loving and making a case for this new jeans trend. It was by far the most popular in the Spring Summer 2018 collections. Solid colored jeans were featured in Tory Burch, Givenchy and many more!

2. Long/Floor Touching Jeans

If you’re someone that usually folds the hem of your jeans ’cause they’re long, you can now walk around dragging the hem wherever you go. Why? Because Alexander Wang, MM6 and Dior are rooting for extra-long jeans. And that way the hem would also get frayed and you’d have two trends in one! Avoid skinny long jeans and go for loose fitted ones.

3. 80s and 90s Shades Jeans

80s Shade: Icy Blue

I love how all these trends from the decades past are coming back to grace us. This icy blue jeans color was all the rage back in the 80s with celebs like George Michael and Michael Jackson. And now the’re back in all silhouettes and forms – cropped, straight cut, distressed and embellished.

90s Shade: Classic Blue

Is anyone else being reminded of the TV Series, Friends, while looking at these or is it just me? I love how striking and bold the color is. Just pairing them with a basic plain white tee would be enough to make a statement. And it would also be reminiscent of 90s clothing styles. Although faded classic blue jeans were the most popular back then, even unwashed ones were seen for Spring/Summer 2018.

4. High Waisted Flared Jeans

Out of all the latest jeans trends for women, these are my absolute favorites. It’s so 70s retro and cool yet very chic. While designers like Dior and Carolina Herrera stayed true to the classic silhouette of this retro jeans trend, Coach had a cropped and embellished version.

5. Slim Fit Jeans

Skinny is out. Slim fit is in! On the runways, slim fit was the silhouette that was more popular than skinny, straight cut or baggy. And I’m not complaining! Unlike, skinny jeans, it’s comfy without compromising the style factor. Fitted but not skin tight is what this trend is all about. Dior, Versace and MM6 opted for this trend in their SS18 collections.

6. Surface Work Jeans

This is yet another one of the latest jeans trends for Spring 2018 I’m loving. How cool is it? There were all sorts of surface work seen on jeans. Patchwork, rhinestones, lacing, paint splatter effects, appliqué, you name it! And the best part is you can just DIY this trend at home by revamping and personalizing some old jeans. I’m surely going to!

7. Frayed Hem Jeans

I never knew I needed a pair of jeans with a frayed hemline until I saw them in the SS18 fashion shows! The tiny detail on the hem is enough to completely jazz up your entire look. I’m a huge fan! And so are the designers! I especially love the Alice+Olivia one.

8. Cropped Jeans

You’ll never have to worry about your favorite gladiators not showing under your jeans anymore! Yes, cropped jeans are in as well. Crop and extra long are what you need for Spring 2018. Anything in between is almost completely out. We’re seeing a variety of lengths in this style, from jeans cropped just above the ankle to 2 inches above the ankle. These denims were prominent on the runways of Carolina Herrera, Dries Van Noten and more!
