1. Fishtail Braid

So basically, you need to know how to do the basic braid in order to learn this. And once you get the hang of it, it’ll become super easy and quick for you to do fishtail braids. And these are one of my favorites. A side fishtail braid gives a glam look, it can be boho or sleek and polished, too! This hairstyle works well for both long and medium length hair.

Comb your hair neatly and keep all your hair at one side or tie in a high ponytail. Divide your hair into two sections, then take a small strand of hair from the bottom of one section and take it to the other section. Keep it tight. Then just repeat this on the other section to braid them. Follow by taking small strands of hair from each of the sections and braid it till the end as far down as you can. Finally, tie it with a hair tie.

If you want a boho look, just loosen up the braid a little with your fingers. If you want a sleek look, spray with hairspray to keep tiny strands from getting loose.

2. French Braid

French braids are timeless but also chic. So if you’re in search of a classy hairstyle for engagements, exhibitions or parties, these are one to go for! Also, these braids can be tricky and need some practice and patience for the beginners to do them yourself. But they look great with all types of dresses.

Brush and untangle your hair thoroughly. Pick up a section of hair from the front center and comb it towards the back. Separate it from the rest of your hair and divide it into three sections and begin to braid normally. At the beginning of the braid, add a section of hair from both the sides to the center and braid it tightly. Repeat till the end and by the time you come to your nape of the neck, just start with the regular three strand braid till the end. And just tie it with a hair tie at the end. You can also tie it into a bun.

3. Rope Braid

When it comes to braiding, rope braid looks really tricky to do but is actually easy. Rope braided hairstyles are the perfect way to cover up a bad hair day. Also, there are a number of designs you can create with this stylish hairstyle that will be perfect for your daily life or for parties, even weddings.

Gather all your hair at the top and make a ponytail or comb them on a side. To just cover the band, take a section of hair from the bottom of your ponytail and just wrap around it and pin it underneath. Divide the hair into two sections and hold tight. Or apply gel if you want a very neat and sophisticated look. Twist both the sections in the same direction simultaneously. And then twist one above the other tightly in the opposite direction as you go down. Keep twisting them on each other like this. Finally, end up with tying a hair tie.

So before starting, brush your hair nicely and see to that no tangles in your hair. Then from between your temples, take a front section of your hair, comb to the back and divide it into three sections. Then braid it from below by taking a section from the sides of the rest of the hair, to the middle section. And repeat till the nape of your neck and tie with a hair tie.

And then divide your hair at the center, and french braid one from the top to bottom and the other at the bottom to the top and tie both the ends with a hair tie.
