No matter what type of look you decide to go for – there is one for everyone. Adding that extra spark of glitz and glamour, head jewelry makes everything more fun. So let’s take a look at the cool hats and the latest trends in head accessories for 2018!
Cool Hats & Trendy Hair Accessories for 2018
1. Floppy & Fedora Hats
This fall season, big rimmed floppy hats are in. They are not only chic but also stylish and super cool. They keep the sun off your pretty face, hide those messy flyaways and are great for pairing with casuals. If you’re looking for something that will make you stand out as you walk around this fall, a beautiful floppy hat will definitely do the trick.
Also, fedora hats are yet another one of the easiest hair accessories to pair with dresses for a classy look. This season, we spotted plain black and colored hats in both. I’m loving the plain colored floppy cool hats.
If you don’t already own a beret hat, you have to get one as soon as possible and match it with your dresses. Because berets are becoming the go-to accessory that never goes out of fashion. They also go perfectly with any outfit you choose!
3. Fur Hats
Fur is everywhere and they are the must-have for every fall, as fur helps to keep you warm during winter. We saw Michael Kors come up with beanies in fur, Giorgio Armani & Moschino came up with fur berets, Saint Laurent with long fur hats and Emporio Armani with fitted fur hats. I’m loving the Saint Laurent one! Also, we recommend faux-fur because we totally condemn animal cruelty.
4. Broad Headbands
Cute headbands are great multi-taskers and add glam to any hairstyle. In fact, they help in keeping bangs and all the hair neatly tucked in one place. This season, we saw embellished, plain leather and novelty broad bands on the runways of Dolce & Gabbana and Tom Ford. These headbands for women work well for any hair length. Great option for casual looks, cocktail parties and weddings.
Logos are back with a bang. We saw that designers have come up with fitted beanies, berets, statement hats and caps on the runways of Alexander Wang, Versace, Prada and Versus with their brand logos. Some being very bold and some, subtle.
6. Printed Head Scarves
This season, printed headscarves are making waves! We saw different fabrics, colors, prints and sizes of headscarves on the runways of the designers that add a signature and classic touch to the look. Also, scarves can be worn in many different ways with different wrapping techniques to create unique styles. A printed scarf is a must-have, which can also be tied as head bandana, turban or a headband. Pair a contrasting or matching one, which goes with your outfit and style.
7. Plaids & Checks
Retro style plaids and checkered hats are back. This year, we spotted models sporting this trend in different colors on the runways of Michael Kors, Burberry and Versace. I’m liking the beret hat with the strap by Versace.
Veils are not leaving us anytime soon as they have been in trend for the past few seasons. We spotted designers playing with all sorts of veils this season – veils attached to a statement band, the transparent and tiny veils on fedora hats. These were seen on the runways of Dolce & Gabbana, Maison Margiela and Michael Kors. I’m liking the Maison Margiela one!
9. Fitted Beanies
Having a cute fitted beanie during winter is a must as it helps you to keep warm and cozy. We spotted bold text, striped, multi-colored and patterned beanies on the runways of the Dolce & Gabbana, Michael Kors, Missoni and many more! They all are super-cool!
10. Multi-Colored Beanies
Multi-colored beanies have their own charm because of all the different colors in them. These colored beanies look great when paired with neutral-colored dresses. Accessorize with bright chokers or bracelets.
11. Hair Pins on Either Side
Hairpins are all-time favorites when it comes to hair accessories as they work well with any type of hairstyle. We saw embellished and decorative hair clips used to tuck the hair on either side on the runways of Dolce & Gabbana and Michael Kors. They also work great with work outfits for winter.
