chanel-spring-summer-2018-ss18-rtw-collection (1)-kaia-gerberOn the final day of Paris Fashion Week, Chanel Spring 2018 collection looked like a getaway from the city life. The runway was setup against a waterfall backdrop. After rocket and Eiffel tower as backgrounds in the previous collections, this season Karl Lagerfeld went back to nature.

Kaia Gerber opened the show. She wore a crop top, white mini skirt and a tweed jacket. The whole outfit had fringed hemlines paired with thigh-high boots and a hat. The fringed crop top was paired with skirts, shorts and trousers in the next set of looks. Reminding us of water and rain, the transparent elements in the looks were very prominent. There were transparent gloves, boots, hats, poncho jackets and even rain droplet shaped earrings!

The metallic outfits were alluring and the ripped denim outfits were high street style! The signature tweed outfits with a hint of pastels were noteworthy. The flowy chiffon dresses gave beachy vibes and are giving us vacation outfit goals. There were gowns and cocktail dresses with ruffle details. Later, the show drifted towards semi-casual wear – button-up shirts with layered sleeves paired with mini skirts and mini dresses.

Makeup was fresh and vibrant with rose pink blush, bold eyeshadows and red lips paired with center parted hair tied into a ponytail with perspex. The color palette included earthy colors like blue, green, white, pink and peach. Accessories included drop and dangle earrings, beaded necklace, multilayered necklaces, bracelets, and oversized sunglasses.

I loved their bags (as always)! There were micro, cross body, oversized, novelty and double bags! The show ended with a set of beautiful white cocktail dresses! Victoria Secret model, Grace Elizabeth closed the show. She wore a silver metallic layered asymmetric dress paired with a fringed transparent top.
