Chanel Fall-Winter 2016/17 haute couture show was all about embroidered dresses, sharp shouldered jackets, arm warmers and beautiful makeup. The embroidery was intricate, and camouflaged the dresses.
The jackets had not just sharp edged shoulders, but also protruding pockets, and a lot used large embellished buttons. Most of the pieces had really minute details in embellished embroidery. According to the fashion show description, “The embroidery of stones, matt sequins, beads and feathers are combined and multiplied endlessly to create enchanting flowers and compose neck straps.”

Originally from Chandigarh, Shilpa also has a professional degree in architecture and has worked in interior project management. She is also the author of the book “Designing a Chinese Cultural Center in India”. Shilpa has a Masters in Design Studies degree from Harvard University.
