Latest Trouser Trends for Spring Summer 2017 #1: Pajama Stripes
Pajama stripes were all over the SS17 runways, and we’ll be seeing this trend extensively next season. The pajama striped pants, or capris are super cool for a night out or a casual outing. You can either pair them with collared shirts or tops. Or if you are looking to wear them as a part of your winter outfit, pair them up with a fur jacket (Fendi).
#2: Metallic Pants
We have been seeing the metallic trend not only in bags, shoes, dresses, accessories, but also in pants. The metallic pants trend was seen majorly in the Marc Jacobs Resort 2017 Collection. If you don’t feel bold enough to try a completely metallic pant, then opt for a subtle one, like Dolce & Gabbana’s where the metallic color does not pop up too much.
#3: Crop Pants
The list of the latest trouser trends can’t be complete with the designers’ favorite crop pants! We have been seeing the trend of crop pants since last season. And they will be popular in next season, too! They give a smart-casual look. The length of the crop pants, however, may vary from calf to ankle. I love the crop pant by Marques Almeida which is patterned and trendy, too!
#4: Patchwork Pants
Patchwork, which was considered a granny thing, is back this season with its own twist. We have been seeing patchwork in dresses and accessories, too! Patchwork pants give a cool street-style look.
#5: Comfort Fit Trousers
Whether you are traveling or going to attend a party, or planning for a date with your boyfriend, women look for comfort and this trend has it. Comfort-fit trousers are combo of style and comfort. The pants are loose at the hip area and slightly fitted at the bottom. We also saw parallel pants or loose-style pants in a few runway collections.
#6: Smart Casual Trousers
When you wanna look polished but not too formal, opt for smart casual trousers. The trend for SS17 will be co-ord sets with smart casual pants and matching jackets. Or of course, let’s call them latest trending women’s pantsuits. Wear a matching set to get an effortlessly smart casual look. I like the look by Dior.
#7: Leather Pants
Leather pants have been trendy for a few seasons now. They are still amongst the mainstream pant trends this season, too! This is a classic piece to invest in. A few fresh trends we have been seeing in the leather pant is baggy leather pants (Fendi), crop leather pants (Prabal Gurung) and striped (Marques Almeida).
#8: Embellished Pants
Bored of wearing gowns and cocktail dresses to the parties? Make your own style statement this season by wearing embellished/embroidered pants. Get a cool, sexy party look by putting these on! My favorite one is the beige colored matching set by Prada in which the pant is cropped and embroidered with fur at the hemline.
The trend of 70s is back! We have been seeing flared pants in many designer collections like Moschino, Roberto Cavalli and Prabal Gurung. Pair the flared pants with polka dotted shirt to get a perfect retro look.
Bold or subtle prints, floral or elementary prints on pants have been a trend since last season. I don’t think this trend will fade in the coming seasons. So, let’s get a printed pant and pile it up for next season, too!
#11: Slim Fit
Wanna show off your perfect figure? Then go ahead and put on the slim fit pants. This season we saw this style in many designer collections like Saint Laurent, Versace, etc. I like the printed slim fit ones by Max Mara.
