Best of Runway Fashion: New York Fashion Week Fall 2016 RTW
I’ll start with the dark and Gothic collection by Marc Jacobs, whose impressions are gonna stay fresh for a long while! It would be unfair if we didn’t talk about the off-beat eye makeup and black lipstick. Here’s our favorite look, but you can view all the looks at Marc Jacobs Fall 2016 Collection from New York Fashion Week.
Oscar De La Renta’s collection was on the other end of the fashion spectrum – floral, elegant and feminine. There were lots of pencil dresses and long midi-dresses. There were deep hues and brocade, silk and fur. Here are our favorites, and you can view the complete gallery at Oscar de la Renta Fall 2016 Ready-to-Wear Collection Review.

Altuzarra’s collection majorly looked like a color play in burgundy. The collection was very versatile with classy picks as well as shimmery gypsy and Indian-inspired pieces.
//
Diane von Furstenberg’s collection this fall was mainly of wrap dresses with high slits – center or side, with retro inspiration – a few shirt dresses and flower accessorized hats and jackets.
Hervé Léger very religiously expressed his love for black in this year’s Fall collection. There was also the biker-with-a-twist look with the leather and skinny pants.

Very colorful!! This is what came to my mind when I watched the Monique Lhuillier Fall 2016 fashion show! My favorites are this outfit with green floral silk pants and sequin collar shirt worn under a long rose coat with oversized collars.
And this gown with bustier-top:
Tommy Hilfiger’s collection this year was more of floral patterns paired with blazers, jackets, capes and coats.
We loved this vintage bikini-inspired floral shorts worn with a crop top and (a tiara?)!
Vera Wang’s Fall 2016 RTW collection had many black pieces – mainly blazers worn over shorts or pants, platform boots and floor-length dresses.
Here’s my favorite look from DKNY. I just love the way this crimson shirt is worn under (or is attached to?) an asymmetric slip dress with a front slit. Fancy modification, and well, that sums up the feel of this collection.
Rag & Bone Fall 2016 RTW was all about athleisure. Pairing dinner jackets effortlessly and casually with track pants created some comfy-looking outfits. And there were capes, sleeveless jackets, sheer shirts and trousers with loafers.

A mix of formal, trendy and classic wardrobe constituted the latest Ralph Lauren collection, and we loved every look. It’s hard to pick favorites, but here they are:
