Hey gorgeous! Lipstick is the final touch to add glam to any outfit you wear. And no girl can have enough shades. We always need new ones! It’s always important to know the top trends coming up this season with newer shades, colors and styles. I know it’s a daunting task to keep up with the biggest trends from season to season. In fact, an overload of celeb Instas and beauty bloggers just makes it all confusing – the latest trends change almost every week!
So I did a whole research from Fall 2018 ready-to-wear collections and also from all our favorite celebs’ Insta accounts to know which lip color to put on this season. So here you go! Let’s take a look at the latest lip color trends for 2018.
Best Lip Color Trends for Fall 2018
1. Blush Pink Lipstick
Coral pink of this summer will give way to the pastel blush in the fall. Blush pink is my favorite and we saw this shade on celebs and runways as well. It’s a must for every trend lover who doesn’t wanna experiment too much. Blush pink paired with sultry and sexy eyes loaded with heavy mascara is a great option for casual night outs and formal parties. Try both matte and shimmery shades.
2. Hot Pink
Wanna try a bright bold color? This would be a great option. If you’re in search of a super sexy yet classic lip makeup this season, then hot pink would be the most flattering hue. Hot pink would perfectly stand out against black or white fall jackets. Wear it to weddings, parties and dinner dates.
3. Dark Retros
Dark retros would be a great idea if you love super dark yet classy lip trends. We saw dark chocolate brown, chocolate brown and deep purple lipsticks on the runways of Bottega Veneta, Dior and Dolce & Gabbana. Try them all when you go shopping, and find one that goes with your skin tone. Wear them to weddings and dinner dates.
4. Brown Lipstick
Brown lipsticks are back! And this lip color has been hot all this year, thanks to celebs like Emma Stone and Gigi Hadid as well as runway models. No matter how much we all love our pink and red lipstick shades, neutrals definitely have their own place in our hearts. Be it at the office party or a formal event where you can’t wear the bold colors, brown is a great idea. Whether it’s matte or glossy finish, the brown lipstick looks great when paired with nude makeup.
5. Nude Lipstick
Celebs prove that you can’t go wrong with nude shade lips. The nude color lipstick is having a major moment right now! And it’s the perfect shade that flatters every skin tone color. It’s the go-to option when you have heavy and bold eye makeup. Also, a perfect color to tone things down. Great option for office or to pair with your casual date outfit. Try shades like milk chocolate, cinnamon nude, rich butterscotch and apricot nudes.
6. Tulip Red
Whether it’s a night out, a really fancy party or you’re celebrating your anniversary, tulip reds are super hot this season. Red is timeless and my favorite too! We saw bright, candy and tangerine reds on the runways of Alexander Mc Queen, Dolce & Gabbana and on many celebs like Kylie Jenner, Taylor Hill and Bella Hadid.
7. Unconventional Shades
When it comes to choosing the best lipstick shades, gone are the days when reds, pinks and nudes were your only options. In fact, this season we saw ironic blue, bright blue, and grey on the runways of Moschino, Dior and even on Kylie Jenner. These unconventional shades are a quick way to transform your subtle look to a bold one this winter. Try pairing these shades with a neutral makeup look.
8. Pale Peachy Lipstick
Looking for a lip color that goes well with both formal and casual occasions? Then this one is for you. This pale peachy is a mix of pink, orange and peach. We spotted this color lip tone on the runways of Robert Cavalli and also on celebs like Emma Stone and Taylor Hill. Great idea when paired with sexy eyes loaded with eyeliner, eyeshadow and neutral makeup.
