Audrey O. is a comic strip by Shilpa Ahuja, modeled after herself and inspired by her personal life experiences. It is truly about self-discovery.

The namesake character Audrey O. is the everygirl whose adventures revolve around office, fashion, friends and personal life, and portray the young working woman. The comic strip has many different settings and characters, but the common theme is getting to know yourself as an independent adult, accepting who you are and being happy with the life you already have. While the society expects us to have it all figured out, the truth is that adulting is hard and messy. The goal of Audrey O. is to help each and every one of us admit that it’s okay to feel terrible sometimes, and to know that you can create happiness if you try.

The History of Audrey O.

First published on July 16, 2016 on, Audrey O. comics have 50 episodes so far, involving stories about travel, work life, friendship and dating. Many of the episodes are near-exact depictions of Shilpa’s own life. She initially created Audrey O. comic strip as an accompaniment to the magazine’s articles. Its purpose was to create a simplistic way of discussing trending social topics like gender at the workplace, burnout, social media addiction, the purpose generation, political polarization, etc. However, after its massive popularity, Audrey O. soon became a fan-favorite and evolved into a weekly strip, and then journeyed through handmade and digital illustrations, short single-panel comics, her own lore, social media accounts, and now NFTs.


Each Audrey O. NFT consists of a combination of 9 traits. Each and every design is manually hand drawn with a lot of love, and a lot of planning, designing, storyboarding and styling goes behind each illustration, taking up to 25 hours per piece. Some Audrey O. traits are rarer than others, while some are unique one-off traits. Can you find them?

Shilpa Ahuja is an India-based internet entrepreneur, artist, and the Editor-in-Chief of digital fashion magazine, which she founded with the goal of inspiring confidence in the modern working woman.

With 13+ years of experience, she is also the founder of online publishing company, Shilpa Ahuja Media (SAM). She has a Masters in Design Studies (MDesS) degree from Harvard University Graduate School of Design, class of 2011.

Prior to founding SAM in 2014, Shilpa worked in project management and graphic design. She also has a degree in architecture. Her art has been exhibited at Harvard Graduate School of Design and the Aroma Hotel, Chandigarh. She is also a mom of twins. <3
