Here’s all you need to know about Anita Dongre Couture 2017 collection titled ‘Tree of Love’. View the collection and read our review.
The latest Anita Dongre couture collection was showcased as a part of India Couture Week 2017. Titled ‘Tree of Love’, the show was all about Indian craftsmanship. The silhouettes included ankle length tulle skirts and A-line lehengas. Garden motifs were the highlights in the collection with flowers, leaves and arches with bird designs. We saw fabrics like velvet, tulle and georgette. Silver embellishments, gota work and embroidery were seen on the outfits.
The color palette had royal colors like maroon, navy blue and the evergreen Indian wedding colors like off-white and red. Accessories included cross body potli bags and flat embellished shoes. From kundan necklaces to matching drop earrings to the traditional maang tikka, the collection included all types of jewelry pieces without which an Indian bride is incomplete.
I loved the pairing of tulle skirts with different types of tops like knee length ones, full sleeves long slit tops and sleeveless bright colored embellished tops. Perfect for a friend’s mehendi ceremony!
